An Open Letter To Rush Limbaugh
Jon Alvarez ^ | 10/23/2006 | Jon Alvarez

Posted on 10/24/2006 5:24:00 AM PDT by Jon Alvarez

Dear Rush:

Pardon my French, but you’re full of s***! As I listened to your show last week, you chose to criticize and attack conservative Americans like myself who feel the Republican Party does not deserve to win in November. Rush, since when did you become such a shill for the GOP? Choosing the party over the base is a very disappointing move to this long time listener. I’m very disappointed in you, Rush Limbaugh, you’ve lost touch with the reality that is life for the common man in America. I heartily recommend you take pause and reconsider your programming strategy. Do you really want to attack those of us on the front lines versus liberalism? Rush, you yourself have become one of the elite of our society. Perhaps I need to give you some perspective, so you can better understand our anger, or at least mine.

maybe that's part of the problem, not enough angry people out there...but what really scares me is that there actually are, they just won't know how to funnel it...except thru violence.

I do like the Conservative Party platform, true..but alas, they are simply the stepchild of the GOP. Enough with the corruption and waste...why not allow for the best people to become elected to office?

Getting the BEST people elected can only happen if we get involved in the primaries.

otherwise- we keep electing the corrupt ninnies.

but if people refuse to pay attention and get involved in the primaries- then we are all stuck with choosing between the worse of two eeevils....

You are in a sad state, maybe you should move to Virginia, we could use some more conservatives because liberals are abandoning the hell-holes they have created up north and coming to our state where we have high-paying jobs, low taxes, a great business environment, and the government mostly stays out of your way.

Unfortunately, when the liberals get here, they try to raise taxes, get government to intrude into everything, and generally turn this place into the same hell-holes they left.

I would like to think the freepers I've marched with are more about ideology than party, but you seem to be right. Here in Syracuse we have Congressman James Walsh, pork-barrel extremist who funnels millions in tax dollars to wealthy Syracuse University and other recipients...our city is worse off than 18 years ago when he took office. His opponent might do better, he might do worse, but bottom line, we cannot afford to continue down the same path...and expect different results.

I do not care for Pat Buchanan. I'd like to see us finish the job in Iraq and turn our army towards Iran and put her in drive.

The only way to get the best people elected is to work through the Republican party and get conservatives elected in the primaries.

btw, do you not have a problem with the amoral, pro-abortion stance of the Democrat party?

Do you not want Constitutionalists on the Supreme Court?

Ahhhh, now we are getting to the nub of your argument...you are in the service, thank you, but you don't want to go to Iraq so you are willing to vote for DEms.

and are essentially for sale to the highest bidder

It's political ruse. You cannot enact any agenda when you are out of power.

As to the rest of you purist malarkey, it is what it is.

It is the same nonsense that savaged the Bush 1 campaign and elected Clinton in his first term.

It is the same nonsense that caused the Dole campaign to falter and gave us Clinton's second term.

Had not the House banking scandal occurred, which suppressed the Dem base, we would not have achieved that power, and we can lose it just as easily.

We have done a lot, in spite of internal differences, and Dem obstruction, but it all goes out the window if our base does not turn out in greater numbers than theirs.

It's that simple. It's not personal now, it is party! and if you can't understand this, then you will when you become so totally disheartened and filled with rage as the liberals regain their podium.

Then, it will be too late, because once power is lost, it takes a major scandal to reclaim it and you will be miserable for many years to come. Your anger today will be nothing in comparison with what you will feel if we lose the House, and worse, the Senate. The presidency means very little in comparison.

Fickle voters are worthless. They cannot be depended on, as politics is a team sport. Those who cannot tell the difference between politics and personal issues are doomed to be pissed off in perpetuity.

I figure they must like it......It's akin to Sadomasochism.

Sounds like you're assuming your local problem with the GOP translates into removing the GOP from power everywhere. Doesn't work that way.

Here's an example of how to do it in the State of Ohio (redder than yours.......maybe you should move).

We have a liberal high taxing Republican Governor. We replaced his clone IN THE PRIMARIES with a true conservative.

He's in an uphill battle right now because of the anti-Taft residue, but if Ohio voters follow YOUR lead, we will end up with a leftist fraud as our Governor.

Shall we do what you want, or shall we elect THE CONSERVATIVE??
