Times’ TV guy critiques Bush on 9/11 and WOT

You read our headline correctly. Right there on the New York Times' online front page, under TV critic Alessandra Stanley's byline is this headline: Laying Blame and Passing the Buck, Dramatized. Here is the screen shot:

Times TV critic editorializes.jpg

Mr. Stanley is not the Times' foreign policy expert. He watches TV for a living. Yet with one click of your mouse (or on Mr. Stanley's remote control), you get his "expert" opinion:

All mini-series Photoshop the facts. “The Path to 9/11” is not a documentary, or even a docu-drama; it is a fictionalized account of what took place. It relies on the report of the Sept. 11 commission, the King James version of all Sept. 11 accounts, as well as other material and memoirs. Some scenes come straight from the writers’ imaginations.

The dictionary defines a docu-drama as "A television or movie dramatization of events based on fact." Mr. Stanley dismisses the "other materials and memoirs" without even naming the sources and apparently Mr. Stanley does not believe a word the 9/11 Commission said. Yet while enlightening us all about what really happened, Mr. Stanley writes his own 9/11 script:

In 2001 President Bush and his newly appointed aides had ample warning, including a briefing paper titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.,” and they failed to take it seriously enough...

Talk about the pot and kettle. The NYT is accusing someone of fabrication. Ain't that the chutzpah?

The Sept. 11 commission concluded that the sex scandal distracted the Clinton administration from the terrorist threat. But in hindsight, surely the right-wing groups who drove for impeachment must look back at their partisan obsession with shame

If Bill Clinton was so concerned with being distracted from "protecting" our country, why didn't he resign, and end this horrible "distraction"? For the good of the country and all?

Like we would have been any better off with Algore? Doubtful that the man who "invented the Internet" would have done us any better!

That's nothing! I heard Clinton make a statement
this morning about this movie: "They ought to tell the
truth!"

For anyone to believe what Clinton or his
admin/DBM/dems says is not factual about this movie
after 8+ years of their obfuscation and lies has their head up their ass!

Perhaps it WAS for the good of the country that he prevented Al the Goron from sitting in the Big Chair.

Why did the government waste all that money on the 9/11 Commission, when they could have gotten all the answers by asking Allesandra Stanley, TV Critic Extrodinaire from the New York Times?

I had forgotten how much I despise those a$$holes.

If you don't want them all laughing on November 8, volunteer for your local GOTV efforts on Nov 7.

We need a massive turnout in November. I am going to do my part.

For those who don't know it, FreeRepublic was formed to help get the truth out about Clinton during the impeachment process. Sidney Bloomingthal, Hillary's puppydog, got his media buddies at the Washington Post and the LA Times to file a copyright infringement suit against FR.

Bottomline, after lots of time and money fighting Clinton appointees and left wing judges FR was ordered to pay $1,000,000. At least that is my docudrama memory version of it.

Good, lysie. We are going to have phony polls, phony stories and every thing else they can throw out there to discourage us and to dampen the turnout. We can't let that happen insofar as it is in our power.

For Clinton and his corrupt team, this mini-series brings the dogs back to their vomit, and they don't like the taste.

Alessandra is a man?? Sounds like a woman's name. Like Alexandra.

In any case, I am reminded of the late CT Sen Abe Ribicoff who yelled during the '68 Demo convention, "how hard it is to accept the truth!" Clinton and his flunkies should stop being such crybabies and just admit they screwed up. Like that would ever happen.

They are still diligently trying to make a lemonade legacy out of a lemon performance.
