In a July column, a sophomore at Michigan State University has declared that pregnancy is a sexually transmitted disease. Writing for The State News, the campus paper of Michigan State University, Ian Twitty writes, Pregnancy symptoms read like those of a disease. Theres abdominal and other swelling of the body, fatigue, nausea. Lets face it. Pregnancy is a disease. The decision as to whether to let the disease run its course or cure it via abortion is purely a matter of personal preference. Anti-abortionists who claim that there is a moral or ethical dimension are hysterical liars.

Some more rhetoric from the same nut: "The fetus is merely a wad of cells. A mere wad of cells doesn't equate to a fully functioning, living human being. A wad of cells cannot make its own cognitive decisions
Comparatively, a fetus is little more than a tapeworm. It is quite common for humans to annihilate parasites with medications or toxins, so why not allow for fetuses to suffer the same fate?"

The writer neglects to mention that she is the product of a diseased mother, then, but that is always omitted.
Ever wonder about all the non-aborted self-haters who subscribe to the "women's right to choose" argument?
Had these people had Mothers who had followed their agenda, they wouldn't be here bitching about it.

Pregnancy is a disease. To make an analogy that would follow this premise to a logical conclusion;
This youngster is like a scar left by a boil on her mothers bottom.

I caught that twice. Two best STD's I ever had. 18-year (then some) incubation period but after that I was fine.
Was there any mention of the drugs these people are on? I didn't click the link.

(Yes I know about the earlier article from Michigan State, it is that article which is being satirized...)
Cheers!

Ahhhh! I missed that. I still enjoyed both of my STD's, with a relapse every now and then. :-)
