No Explanation For Firing For Dover Superintendent.......

When the school board made a decision in June that his contract wasn't being renewed, Dover school superintendent Dr. Richard Nielsen was told he would receive a written evalutation.

Nielsen says he is still waiting for that evaluation, which he plans to make public.

The new anti-intelligent design school board dominated by the "Dover CARES" group said it could not comment on personnel actions when it decided not to renew Nielsen's contract when it expires next year.

But members of the audience at the school board meeting who support Dover CARES blamed appointed superintendent Nielsen for not stopping the elected school board from its intelligent design decision..................

Central Pool Decision Coming Soon.......(Comment, Analysis).............

The Central York School District says the new high school completed last year needs expansion in the next two years. Under pressure to act quickly, the school board will vote in the next two weeks to move forward with a 15-20 million dollar expansion deciding among six options.

This will bring costs of the new high school (when one takes into account the original building's cost of more than the 66 million dollars commonly reported, plus millions more contributed by the school district to area road improvements) to over 100 million dollars.......

The pool controversy that began with the original building of the new high school was rekindled again with the expansion plans.

This time superintendent Dr. Linda Estep got into it when she lied to the school board claiming state law mandated expansion of physical education facilities in a school expansion.

"The York Dispatch" reported that no state law existed to mandate a pool addition to the school.........
