ANSWER :

“I’m not sure what groups will be coming out and supporting me. Being the challenger, I don’t expect a lot of groups to outwardly support me. But I’ll tell you that many members of some of these groups are coming to me to support me. NRA. We’re receiving so many checks that are from individual members of NRA, and Mr. Murtha has been endorsed by that organization for a long time.”

A very diplomatic answer by Irey IMO. She is definitly talented at politics. I think playing the political field is an art and you cannot just say whatever you would like to...

Wanted to give you folks an exciting update on Ms. Irey's campaign.

• Her campaign has now received donations from all 50 states, plus some extra special contributions from troops deployed in Iraq.
• On May 31st there were about 818K hits on website. As of June 16th there were 925K, and right now there are over 951K.
• Total online donations for Diana Irey are around 1,300. No count on snail mail contributions, but they're rolling in.
• Think an appearance on FNC and a mention by Rush Limbaugh helped any?
  Donations last Saturday - 35, Sunday - under 20, and Monday... 290!
• As of late this afternoon they were approaching 200 online donations for today.

Now this is obviously a campaign gaining momentum, and it's certainly larger than FR. But we can all smile a bit for helping take a chunk out of Murtha's... armor.

Keep helping to spread the word. We're starting to get the attention of the money folks. :-)

Great news Coop..

After hearing what happened to those soldiers that were found today...and also hearing on Brit's show..that it looks like the investigation shows no cover up by the Marines' at Haditha's higher ups...this is good news.

I am just praying hard that when all is said and done, some of those Marines, when they go FREE, will go to Washington and confront Murtha...and bring their families with them.

Yes indeed she does have a shot...she's bright and has really spoken out against Murtha very strongly- hasn't backed down one inch.

She's getting very positive feedback in places like Johnstown where Murtha has always done well...

The more I read about this woman the more I'm convinced that not only is she Congressional material, but Presidential or Senatorial material as well.

I know the RNC will be lukewarm to her (as they are to all REAL conservatives) but I'm glad that she doesn't make it an issue or isn't crying about it like John Spencer is in New York.

Murtha sides up with Code Pink

Code Pink has given $650,000 to the terrorists in Fallujah, participated in war crimes tribunals against America and has called American soldiers "killers" on their website among many treasonous actions. They display signs like "Maimed for a Lie" at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where wounded troops are healing.
