DUmmie FUnnies 06-13-06 (Head DUmmie Skinner BLASTS Jason Leopold)
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | June 13, 2006 | Skinner, DUmmies, and PJ-Comix

Posted on 06/13/2006 1:15:01 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

Okay, I admit it. I'm like a kid in a candy shop with this Rove NON-Indictment having been announced today. There are so so many FUnnie DUmmie threads that I hardly know where to turn next so let me turn to this THREAD titled, "Just a reminder: Jason Leopold did NOT get Rove off the hook..." in which Skinner BLASTS Jason Leopold and doesn't sound very happy about WILLIAM RIVERS PITT as well. So let the comedy show begin with the DUmmie laugh lines in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, still waiting for the main show when Pitt delivers his act, is in the [brackets]:

Just a reminder: Jason Leopold did NOT get Rove off the hook...

[You are correct. It was WILLIAM RIVERS PITT who got Rove off the hook. It was the Butterfly Effect where one small incident causes a series of other small incidents leading to bigger incidents in which ultimately Patrick Fitzgerald washed his hands of the whole thing. The little incident that set off the Rovian Butterfly Effect was when WILLIAM RIVERS PITT gave the go ahead to Leopold to write up the Rove indictment story. This instantly swept through the Blogosphere and led to Hillary Clinton and the Michigan Democrats making fools of themselves by standing up and applauding when the Rove "indictment" was announced at a big shindig. Ultimately, Fitzgerald got disgusted with the whole circus atmosphere of the thing and decided NOT to indict. There is a very good possibility that Fitzgerald would have opted to indict Rove if WILLIAM RIVERS PITT had not initiated his TruthOut Butterfly Effect.]

If you want to find out who did that, you'll need to look into names like Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Judge Reggie Walton. Jason Leopold is simply a reporter who was given false tips, probably to have us believe that Jason Leopold is at fault for all of this. He's not. You may now return to your regularly scheduled flame wars.

[Poor innocent Jason Leopold. He was an innocent victim of bad tips handed to him by Sonny Crockett. And I will return to the regularly scheduled flame wars for the great comedic entertainment they provide.]

I wonder if he will out his sources now

[Remember, those sources were checked in triplicate by WILLIAM RIVERS PITT.]

I wanted Rove to be indicted, tried, convicted and meet a cellmate named Big Boy, as much as anyone else.

[More likely Leopold will be indicted, tried, convicted, and meet an Aryan Brotherhood cellmate named Big Goy.]

Leopold got played... he's not the first reporter that has happened to, and with these slimy b*stards, won't be the last. There is no reason to be angry with him. Hell, we've ALL been played by this administration for years now. I think we all need to focus our anger and frustration where it will do some good -- making sure this is the last Republcian-run Congress, and the last Republican Administration for at least the coming century.

[Jason Leopold portrayed as the innocent victim of the Perfect Rovian Storm.]

He just passed along a bunch of made-up stuff and told everyone it was news.

[Jason Leopold portrayed as devious sleazebag.]

I'm just saying he might know the story of how Rove got off the hook.

[With an inside source like Sonny Crockett, Leopold is definitely in the know. And now DUmmie Skinner adds his 2 cents...]

Technically, you're correct. Jason Leopold did not get Rove of the hook. But so far I haven't heard anyone trying to make that claim. Seems like a rather bizarre thing to suggest. But let's be clear here: Jason Leopold blew it. He's not "simply a reporter who was given false tips." Part of his job as a "reporter" is to judge the credibility of the people who give him his tips, and to think critically about the likelihood that these tips are true or not. He blew it, big time. Spectatularly and publicly. People who trust his "scoops" after this fiasco are fools. You know... Fool me once, won't get fooled again...

[Sorry Skinner but you got fooled MORE than once with the phony fundraising schemes in DUmmieland starting with Bev Harris being just $10 away from overturning the 2004 election results.]

Of course no one made that claim, but I'm guessing there will be... more folks angry at Jason Leopold than Alberto Gonzales, something I find bizarre.

[Yes. Isn't strange that folks would be angrier at Jason Leopold for perpetrating a FALSE story than at Alberto Gonzales who had NOTHING to do with this case. And now to hear again from Head DUmmie Skinner...]

To be honest... I'm pretty angry at Jason Leopold. I'm no fan of Alberto Gonzales either, but I'm not really sure why he's being brought up in this context. What is his relevance is to the lack of a Rove indictment?

[An historic event! Head DUmmie Skinner finally WINS a Kewpie Doll for having a brief moment of mental clarity!]

If you're comfortable answering... what are your thoughts on Will Pitt's handling of the matter? If you're not comfortable answering... please don't ban me.

[Good question you LOUSY FREEPER TROLL!!! And now to read Skinner's answer...]

I am not comfortable answering. I am sorry.

[TRANSLATION: "I am really pissed off at WILLIAM RIVERS PITT for making DUmmieland look like a Ship of Fools."]

Leopold has always had this type of situation plaguing his reporting for years. I can't help but wonder if this was just another blind stab at an "expose" that he was hoping would come to fruition, rather than any of it being remotely based on fact other than the basis of the Plame case. We were all duped mainly because we *wanted* to see the results he was predicting, rather than examining the merits of the story and the fundamental legal basis.

[Sorry but Skinner already won your Kewpie Doll.]

no matter how this shakes out, eating our own is a VICTORY for the RW and bush admin.

[Eating your own along with a large helping of Crow.]

It's bizarre that you think the Leopold has the power to get Rove off the hook.

[The credit for that should go to WILLIAM RIVERS PITT.]

I laughed out loud listening to Liberal Barry gripe about losing the bet on the Ed Shultz show.

It should be pretty obvious now (to everyone except The Logorrheal One, that is) that Skinner is going to allow the DUmmies to eat him alive from now on.

Look for any remaining Pittiphiles to get themselves TS'd in short order, presuming they're not all sockpuppets in the first place.

The pundent probably meant to call himself a "pundit."

Man, any ridiculous theory you can throw out there is bound to be topped by some of the crap, lies, conspiracy and venom I have seen today... Most entertaining.

Here is my theory of what happened. Leopold's source is some idiot in the mailroom of Fitz's office who saw some letter go out to Rove's attorney's office on May 12. The letter probably had nothing to do with anything. In between photocopies of his butt, the mailroom clerk photocopied the envelope and then passed it on to Leopold (the photocopy of the envelope, not the photocopy of his butt). Leopold was sure that it was the warning to Rove that he had 24 hours (BUSINESS hours)to get his affairs straight before he was indicted.

Best theory yet, or he just made it all up.

I believe they are using a line out of Animal House.

I know. I spend a lot of time slumming over there, or did. That's why I used those terms.

Gentle mockery is the best cure for what ails the DUmmies. Except of course for the terminal cases that need Coulter therapy. Sorry no picture.

I heard Steve Kane say that he had won $150 over the Rove deal, so thats got to be him.

So like, Brian Craig is a conservative, but Steve Kane is a neoCon, presumably because he is Jewish...?

Best theory yet, or he just made it all up.

I think he had something that made him think it was about to happen. I don't think it was the 8 sources that he claimed to have, though. I think he so badly wanted the acclaim of having the 'scoop' on this story that he reacted too quickly to some small piece of 'evidence' from some inconsequential source. Hell, he might have even been scouring the garbage dump where Fitz's office garbage is dumped and found something that he misinterpreted.

I also think that he had something that he showed to the people that were backing him up or they wouldn't have stood so solidly behind him for so long. These people were so deluded by their Fitzmas fantasy that something as simple as an envelope addressed to Rove's attorney from Fitz's office could have sucked them totally in.

I am not comfortable answering. I am sorry.

By not banning Pitt, Skinner just makes himself look like Pitt's little sock puppet. Skinner knows his deluded little Dummies worship at the throne of Pitt's feet, so he won't ban him or even publically talk bad about him. It's so pathetic, it's funny.
