Pitt uses anyone who crosses his path to create a fantasy world of "friends." His trips with Dan are described as if it were just the two of them...two "guys" (wink,wink, nudge,nudge.) He probably "finagled" his way into a group that included Dan for the trips. He said in that long "Trial of John Kerry" that someone "finagled" to get him into Al Franken's apartment.
Who does this? It is so not guy. Gay, maybe.
I'm still waiting for the pics he took in SanFrancisco last fall when he took his "first vacation in ten years." There's got to be some candid shots of franksolich's favorite debutante sobbing in Pitt's lap.
Somebody should record those lyrics set to the original music, they're too good to let languish on an old DUFU thread in FR's memory file.

I wonder if the Bostonian Idiot was trying, deliberately or subconsciously, to imitate Jimmy Breslin or Damon Runyan in telling one of the "guy" stories.

Nothing will work for the Bostonian Idiot until he gets himself into some sort of treatment center, living in a halfway house with a curfew and no internet access, being treated by drug-and-alcohol counselors, and attending AA meetings three times a day.
Of course he won't do that.

I would have disagreed with you that there may be a place for Pitt still in Dem politics before todays DUFU. I guess the more whacked out a Dem is the higher they can go. And the media whores look at all the Dem insanity as if it were not just reasonable, but evidence of a highly evolved intelligence cleverly concealing their genius from the proles inside moldy, CIA caps kept in briefcases, or like today, canny campaign tactics plopped into a return-to-sender envelope.
So, yeah, I guess in the normal course of Dem progress and considering his experiences with schoolchildren Pitt could wind up as the Commissioner of Education in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
So tell him our squad commander tried to give the poor man a beer and a bite of his barbeque sandwich, but he was just too far gone....

No, the way he mistreats and uses people as props in his carefully staged set pieces that are supposed to represent his life, makes him a loser, drunk or sober.
