DUmmie FUnnies 06-07-06 (California Congressional Race In DUmmie Real Time)
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | June 7, 2006 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 06/07/2006 4:42:20 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

I think the most FUn way to watch the Congressional Race in the 50th Congressional District in the San Diego area is via watching the DUmmies in Real Time watching the results come in. They must have had their hopes up especially after watching last night's CBS News report on this special election to fill Duke Cunningham's seat because CBS portrayed it as a choice between Saint Busby vs Bilbray the Anti-Christ. Of course, NO mention was made of the HUGE campaign gaff made by Busby who said that illegals could help get her elected. (If anyone can find the video link to that CBS Report, please forward it to me here and I will update this DUFU edition with it for ALL to see.) Therefore the DUmmies went into this special congressional election with high hopes only to be dashed on the Rocks of Reality later as you can see in this THREAD titled, "Busby >> Bilbray race." You can see the comments in DUmmie Real Time (EDT) as the tragic results come in. As usual, the DUmmie hopes soon to be crushed are in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, consoling the DUmmies with the fact that they won a meaningless "Moral Victory," is in the [brackets]:

Wed Jun-07-06 01:13 AM... Busby >> Bilbray race

Currently..

Bilbry -- 20,866 - 50.63%
Busby --- 17,693 - 42.94%

57 out of 500 precincts reporting so far.

Go Francine Go!

[Go Francine Go! CBS News has already declared you to be the Moral Victory winner!]

01:25 AM... 66 precincts now in... Bilbry still leads. 21,602 to 18,560

It's still early...

[It's never too early to win a moral victory.]

01:25 AM... 66 out of 100, 50.33 to 43.24 . . .Busby's on the move. . .

[Yeah, that .30% change shows momentum of MASSIVE proportions.]

01:28 AM... She did move more than him that last go around, didn't she?

[Keep hope ALIVE!]

01:32 AM... If the Independent & Libertarian weren't running.. we'd almost be tied.. C'mon Francine.. start moving some more!

[Actually Busby would be further behind but who am I to argue with DUmmie illogic?]

01:33 AM... Bilbray went down while Busby gained. . .

[Keep rubbing those DUmmie prayer beads!]

01:34 AM... 20% counted now, and percentages holding. . .

[What? No more massive .30% momentum shifts?]

01:37 AM... I know... that damn 3,000 vote difference won't budge.. C'mon numbers MOVE in Francine's direction!

[Sorry. Election results are NOT like Ouija boards. The results do NOT go in a certain direction because you want them to.]

01:35 AM... 100 out of 500 now in....

24,786 Bilbry
21,269 Busby

Sheesh..

[WOO! HOO! We're on our way to a MORAL VICTORY!!!]

01:45 AM... Bill Schneider's prediction that the Independent would hurt the Rethug..doesn't seem to be coming true yet.

[That was more Bill Schneider's HOPE in the form of a prediction.]

01:50 AM... 50 44 she's catching up..

[They just counted a bunch of the votes without papers that she requested.]

01:55 AM... Oh man.. I hope that trend continues! ..and she keeps eeking up until she bypasses him!

BRIAN BILBRAY - REP
26637
50.02%

FRANCINE BUSBY - DEM
23461

C'mon Francine!

[Why hold back? I say break out that Freudenschade victory champagne NOW!]

02:18 AM... . Damn!.. she just can't get past that 3k difference.. The difference was 2,973 votes.. now it's 3,300.

[So does that mean the .30% momentum surge for Busby has been overtaken by momentum for the Anti-Christ?]

02:38 AM... 3,278 difference.. Busby only gained 22 votes in last update.. Still.. moved in the right direction..

[A 22 vote gain? WOO! HOO! Time to uncork that victory champagne! Do it! DO IT NOW!!!]

02:52 AM... 46% of votes are now in and here is where we stand....

Precincts: 500
Counted: 232
Percentage: 46.4%

BRIAN BILBRAY - REP
35505
49.67%

FRANCINE BUSBY - DEM
31955
44.70%

Do we have any hope??

[Your chances are excellent for winning a Moral Victory.]

02:56 AM... Bilbray 49.67 -44.7. she's slowly catching up....almost half of the precincts are counted now though, so she'll need to catch up quite a bit soon for her to have a chance.

[BUSBY!!! SLOOOOOOOWLY SHE TURNED, STEP BY STEP...]

03:12 AM... The results remind me of the Jean Schmidt > Paul Hackett Race...

[Another Moral Victory for the Democrats.]

03:21 AM... I was thinking about that for the past hour. Almost posted it but didn't want to jinx a potential Busby comeback. Heavy red districts that we're trying to steal. In November the districts like this will not flip either. That +40 or anything close to that is preposterous. We need to reverse the low to mid GOP-leaning districts, and pick up the +15 seats.

[Heavy red districts that you're trying to steal? I give you credit for HONESTY.]

03:24 AM... Still 49.82% to 44.71% .... it WILL NOT BUDGE!

[NOT EVEN NUDGED!]

03:41 AM... Damn. Now Bilbray is up 4118 votes.

[That Moral Victory champagne is sure going to taste good!]

03:46 AM... It looks like the percentage is getting closer but Bilbray now leads by 4,321 votes which is 203 more than last time.

[You need to send out Karma waves to counteract this trend. Quick! Chant a mantra!]

03:54 AM... Seems to suspicipous that it bounces between 3 and 4k difference.. Regardless of how many votes come in.. Something strange seems to be going on.

[That PROVES it! ELECTION FRAUD!!! Call RFK, Jr. NOW!!!]

03:56 AM... Did that misstatement by Busby hurt her this bad? I thought she would squeak by, but this difference is larger than I would've ever thought. I can only think that the statement she made about illegals not needing papers has cost her the election.

[You wouldn't have known a thing about that "misstatement" if you had been watching the CBS News Ode to Francine last night that came in the laughable form of an "objective" campaign report.]

03:57 AM... Are they using diebold machines?? Sure seems suspicious like you say.

[Bev Harris is only $10 away from proving that Busby was the winner.]

03:58 AM... If this keeps up and he wins, I wonder how the media will spin this tomorrow?

["Democrats jubilant over moral victory in California."]

04:00 AM... I can tell you one thing. I'm sick and tired of "moral" victories. We need to win some of these kinds of seats if we are going to take over the House of Representatives

[And this DUmmie WINS a Moral Victory Kewpie Doll for having a brief moment of mental clarity!]

04:45 AM... It was the immigrant gaffe she made that killed her. Next time, make sure the people you're pandering to can vote.

[Or give the vote to the dead people.]

04:59 AM... Another update

U.S. REPRESENTATIVE 50TH DISTRICT - (RUN-OFF)
Counted: 451 of 500 precincts – 90.2 percent
BRIAN BILBRAY - REP 56016 49.49%
FRANCINE BUSBY - DEM 51202 45.24%

Again it looks like the percentage is tightening but Bilbrays lead is now 4,814. Damn, I think it's over

[It's over? Great! Now we can finally declare our Moral Victory!]

05:03 AM... AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH

I hate coming close!!!! Coming close isn't going to get us in control of Congress. We need to pick up these kind of seats if we're going to win in November. We can't let these opportunities slip by. There just aren't that many competitive seats.

[May I have a sip of your Moral Victory champagne?]

05:13 AM... Your right Larissa, we DO have to remember how RED it is, BUT she has another chance in November, remember this election was for the fill in and hopefully we will get the Indies and the Greens and others to vote in the November for her and Busby just has to keep attacking him while he is in office, PLUS in November more people will be out to vote. I think this looks aweful for the Republicans.

[Of course it looks awful for the Republicans. It's because you just won a MORAL VICTORY! WHEEEEEEEE!!! Break out the Bubbly!]

05:15 AM... Geeze if this looks awful for rethugs I'd hate to see what looks good! We have to start winning these seats!

[KILLJOY!]

05:57 AM.. AP has called the race for Bilbray -

[Now it's official---the Democrats have just won a Moral Victory.]

"Don't forget what that is in "business hours"."

Aw, heck, my calculator's battery went dead. Well, there being 8 business hours in a day (according to the DUmmie who came up with this...if I'm not mistaken), that means the meeting lasted 1 hour short of two full days.

Haven't seen any immigration posts for awhile.

Sorry, PJ, I guess I put a damper on some folks visiting your thread. Oops!

DUmmies...in Real Time

Isn't that against the laws of physics?

On a side note, here's a great funny story that needs continued posting around the blogosphere- Idjits steal TMobile sidekick, won't give it back, true owner decides to "globally humiliate" them:

...Per the U.S. Census Bureau, it was 7 million in 2003. Even if that number is low by 50%... it's no more than 10 million now, by a VAST max.

.....Or do you think the U.S. Census Bureau is made up of clintonite-bushite-one-worlder-communist-nazis?

NO BUT THE FIGURES DID NOT COME FROM THE CENSUS BUREA CONTRARY TO YOUR STATEMENT:

Does the Census Bureau collect data on the number of unauthorized migrants?

Answer
The Census Bureau collects citizenship data on foreign-born U.S. residents but does not ask further questions about immigration status. The Census Bureau does not ask legal (migrant) status on the decennial census or in the American Community Survey or Current Population Survey, as there is no legislative mandate for collecting this information. Given the success of Census 2000 in counting nearly every person residing in the United States, we expect that unauthorized migrants were included among people who indicated that the United States was their usual place of residence on the survey date. The foreign-born population includes naturalized U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (immigrants), temporary migrants (e.g., foreign students), humanitarian migrants (e.g., refugees), and unauthorized migrants (people illegally present in the United States).

Definitions:

U.S. Citizen - Respondents who indicated that they were born in the United States, Puerto Rico, a U.S. Island Area (such as Guam), or abroad of American (U.S. citizen) parent or parents are considered U.S. citizens at birth. Foreign-born people who indicated that they were U.S. citizens through naturalization are also considered U.S. citizens.
Not a U.S. Citizen - Respondents who indicated that they were not U.S. citizenship at the time of the survey. (Note: this category includes those who are Lawful Permanent Residents, Temporary Migrants, Humanitarian Migrants, or Unauthorized Migrants).
Foreign born - The foreign-born population includes anyone who was not a U.S. citizen or a U.S. national at birth. This includes respondents who indicated they were a U.S. citizen by naturalization or not a U.S. citizen.

Frankly, if the "fifty million" immigrants are LEGAL, then what's yer problem?
Same problem I would have with crack cocaine if it were legal. Some things, for various reasons, shouldn't be legal...OK, don't give me any crap about being unable to answer your argument. I just did. And don't say I'm comparing illegal immigrants to crack cocaine. You know that I didn't.>>

I'll try to play nice.

But:

Crack cocaine destroys the human brain. A large number of immigrants do not do the same thing to body politic, so long as they're spread over a sufficient period of time, 20 years or so. (Naturally, if they all arrive at once, sure they do. But short of a Stephen King-novel-esque natural disaster, they won't.)

One of them is immigration beyond the ability of American society to assimilate the immigrants. I believe that we are approaching, if not already past, those limits now. >>>

That's a political decision to be made by all of us, through our representatives in Washington, not by you alone. When that decision is made, it's made. You're entitled to your opinion; I disagree with it and I think the feds will too.

OTOH, I can understand if you are from a burdened border area, that you legitimately get that impression. But San Diego County is not the whole of the country.

What's your problem? You don't like America?>>

I'm very fond of America. I'm alive because of America.

I/m not calling you a disruptor, although you seem to be a very recent member. But I've trolled a lot, myself, over with the DUmmies (see my profile), and I know the signs. I'm seeing one or two of them here, although not enough to make a definite statement.
>>>

I'm not a disruptor, just a lifelong Republican who often thinks outside the standard Republican box. The problem is that there are a lot of Republicans who are very, very fond of that damned box and don't want to be disagreed with.

My fear is immediate: Al Qaida wants to kill us all, with nukes if possible, with Sarin and dirty bombs and plague if not. Obvious point of entry is Mexican border. Close it, now. If amnesty's the price, fine. Since 90% of the immigrants who'd get these bennies are Mexican or S.A. Catholics, not Palestinian Muslim jihadists, it won't kill us. With Mexican Catholics, we can deal.

Second and less immediate fear is the problem of Mexican separatism in the SE US states. That's a political problem. If we don't deal with this now, sensibly, and try a boxcars-to-the-border deal, then we're no better than Slobo Milosivich.

We gotta fix the borders. But we also gotta be Americans. We're the good guys. Boxcars-to-the-borders is not a good-guys solution.

Have y'all seen Pitt's Wikipedia article on himself?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Rivers_Pitt

This is the biggest pontification of infantile narcissism I've seen, and I've seen a lot of that..

Imagine a world where every blogger and SFA (Self Financed Author- ie, Vanity Press) is a public hero, that is Pitt's world...

...hell, the National Library of Poetry wrote me a letter a while back offering to 'publish me'.. Maybe I can be included with a Keats entry in Wikipedia now?

Holy God save us. Do they not understand basic math? If the difference between the two numbers remains the same, but the number of votes counted goes up, of course the percentages move closer together. The DUmp is just amazingly stupid.

We're talking 10 million people, max

It's going to be more like 100 million once they bring their families in (which under current US law, they are allowed to do). Also, I suspect this '10 million' figure is going to be a lot like the '3 million' figure from the 1986 amnesty; it's going to more like twice that many.

I may return to DUFunnies, I may not. If I do it will be because incosiderate A$$ES such as those who have taken over your thread for their immigration agenda are gone. They insult you and all the fine work you've done to make DUFunnies the best and most successful thread on FR.

I've already registered an abuse complaint on one of them (post #144). I won't tolerate self-centered children who think the world revolves around their pet interests.

Please remove my from your ping list. I'll decide whether I return or not after lurking from time-to-time.

It's just as hard to not get angry at those who think that giving legal status to people who are already here and who cannot be gotten rid of short of violent methods constitutes "selling our sovereignty down the river".

Actually, I think the most important reason to vote republican is what would happen to our soldiers if the dems won the congress, WH or both. These young men and women are fighting & dying for us. Dems have made it clear that they DO NOT believe in what they're doing and why. I've seen enough comments to know they have utter contempt for our soldiers. I don't want our troops hung out to dry by the likes of Levin, Hillary, etc. I want elected officials who understand why our soldiers are fighting and won't denegrate their mission or bring them home before they've finished a job they've fought, bled and died for. The border is important but our best and brightest on the front lines trump a fence in my book.
