How Illegal Immigration is Sending Schools Into The Red

I would like to start off with this startling fact. In 1994, the estimated costs of educating the children of exceeded 28.6 billion taxpayer dollars alone. Just multiplying that figure over a period of 20 years(adjusting for inflation). With schools cutting back on after school programs such as after school prograns, not purchasing up to date textbooks. Some states have even cut back the hiring of new teacgers and childcare prgrams. Other school districts(including the Los Angeles School District) have shortened the shool week from five days to four or shortened school hours, All of this can be diretly attributed of the massive influx of illegal immigrants in the United States. Simply stated, the influx of llegal immigrants has overwhelmed the school system to the ploints where the states cannot cope. In California, the $7.7 billion spaent annual;ly educating the children now controls 13 precent of the budged. If you got rid of the illegal menace that is plaguing our public school you can do this

1.Could pay for 31,000 new teacgers and reduce per student ratio or you can purchase 2.8 million new computers-enough computers for half of the states students.

2 You can eliminate the budget shortfalls that happen from time to time.

I will be looking forward to yor reposnes. Since you pay for public school through your property taxes you have right to dictate where and how your dollar is spent.

I don't care if they 'cost' us nothing at all.

Our immigration laws either mean something or they mean nothing. I want them rigorously enforced, period.

This aspect of the cost of illegal immigration has been especially bothersome to me for awhile. My kids go to Catholic schools, and I don't have a problem paying for public schools through my taxes even though my kids don't benefit directly from that money because I also recognize my duty to our society. But I DO have a HUGE problem with paying to education zillions of kids who have no right to be in this country. My property taxes have gone up nearly every year for the past 15 years and I am sure a LOT of this is due to having to educate the spawn of illegals. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

This is the conclusion of this is of the report from FAIR. I wanted to post this because it is very powerful and might prompt people to read the report . All of our children-native born and immigration alike - are receiving a poor education as a result of the federal government passing its immigration failures on to the states. the implications for the coming generation of workers, our future economy, our long term competitiveness in the world cannot be ignored. if the federal government remains unwilling to undertake serious enforcement of the laws on the books, it will eventually forced to provide massive federal educational aid to the states. A far more logical and cost effective alternatives would be to substantially reduce illegal immigration
Without a serious commitment to doing just that, open borders and tax enforcement that allow millions of illegal immigration to enter our country and obtain driver licenses and other official documentation with virtually no fear of the law and will continue to undermine the will of the American people, overburden our communities; financial resources and imperil our children's future.

The system is strained to the breaking because of the weight of illegal immigrants entering the country. Just imagine if CIRA is passed. The public school system( and state budgets) will completely collape. States will have to raise state and property taxes dramatically to accommodate illegal immigrants children.

Here is a report how Latinos who attend high school have a high drop out rate. One of the main problems is that the enter the system not speaking English. They become frustrated and then drop out of school.

Unfortunately, the president, rinos in the senate, democrats in the senate, and democrats in the house have decided that our immigration laws mean nothing. Hopefully, the house conservatives can keep their fingers in the dike until we do a little house cleaning of rinos and rats this november.
