Does anyone remember the interview Kerry gave on one of the Sunday morning news shows? The one where he said that soldiers were going into houses shooting innocent women and children?

I saw snippets of it later and I almost got the feeling he screwed up...again! Like he wasn't supposed to say anything about that yet. He stammered a little, and then the interviewer asked him another question.

Does anyone know when exactly that interview was done?

Never mind, I answered it myself. It was December 4, 2005, on Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer. Here's the quote in question:

And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...

SCHIEFFER: Yeah.

Sen. KERRY: ...Iraqis should be doing that. And after all of these two and a half years, with all of the talk of 210,000 people trained, there just is no excuse for not transferring more of that authority.

So did he really mean to say that Iraqis should be terrorizing women and children? He's such a tool!

But I also wonder if he had some sort of a heads up that a story was going to break in this way...or an atrocity would be committed, then blamed on American soldiers.
