Border Patrol Agents Warn: Bush Plan is a Trojan Horse --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Jim Kouri May 18, 2006
In a joint statement, members of the US Border Patrol, Local 2544, called President George W. Bush's border security and illegal immigration plan a Trojan Horse.
"Every day that President Bush and the Senate hold real border security hostage to their misguided amnesty program, thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens continue to flood into the country. Make no mistake, most of them get by us. We are losing this war, and it's not even close. Contact your senators and congressmen now. Tell them to secure the border and tell them to reject amnesty programs (so called 'guest-worker')," said member agents.
The agents said that Bush and the US Senate don't "get it," but Republicans in the US House of Representatives "get it." The American people "get it."
Border Patrol agents point out the illegal immigration problem is a simple issue to solve: Shut the border down to illegal aliens crossing into the US, then begin "hammering" the greedy employers who hire them.
"It's not complicated, folks," they stress.
Promising more amnesty is not going to dissuade anyone from coming into the US illegally.
The Border Patrol agents then turned their ire towards the President. They say his post-speech propaganda trip to Yuma, Arizona is a carefully planned PR stunt. There are a lot of very wealthy farmers in the Yuma area who dominate the local economy and have been using the cheap labor of illegal aliens to build their wealth for many years. Bush speaks their language.
The agents add, "The American people should also know that any 'statements' or 'comments' from top-level Border Patrol managers should be taken with a grain of salt. They say what they're told to say. Period."
The Border Patrol also noted that "President Bush is doing back flips to assure the hypocritical El Presidente Fox that America will not 'militarize' the border."
"We didn't realize that Fox was running things here. Is the Mexican government paying for any of this? Of course not. Further, Fox has already "militarized" the border. Mexico has plenty of troops on the border. We know this because we see them all the time and they shoot at us with rather large .50 caliber rifles. All we can do is hope their aim is bad, run from them, and then watch as the cowards from our government hide from the issue, and their government lies about them even being there.
"So........if Fox is so concerned with the 'militarization' of the border perhaps he should start on his side of the border. Fox needs to learn that the United States of America is a sovereign nation and has the absolute right to secure its borders. Fox does not have the right to dictate our internal policies. He uses his consulate officers to harass us, file lawsuits, and use every trick in the book to undermine border security so he can continue to send millions upon millions of his citizens over here to send millions upon millions of dollars back to him."
According to Senator Ted Kennedy, Americans support amnesty for illegal aliens. "Hey Teddy, we are Americans, and we don't support anything you're doing. You are a disgrace. Make sure you count us out when you lie to everyone about the "broad support" your amnesty plan enjoys,"said the Border Patrol agents.

When someone criticizes Bush on something that FReepers don't agree with, they are doing their obligation.
Since these Americans are on the front lines of this invasion, and our President is tacitly supporting said invasion, I would say they have a duty as citizens to criticize him. "Nation of laws, and not of men," and all that.
FYI.
Yes; it's true. How absolutely despicable of them! Just who do they think they are??
After all, they weren't born with money, so it's not like they need it to remain in their proper class!
Maybe we should send them to Mexico as part of this "replacement with cheap labor" program that is being sold as a "guest worker" program??
Go to the Conservative Party. Literally quit the Republican Party and re-register as a Conservative. You are still free to vote Republican and indeed, in most elections, the candidate will have the endorsement of both parties. In my experience, however, a strong conservative party will move the Republican Party to the right if only so that the Republican candidate retains the Conservative endorsement.
Also, do not give money to the Republican Party or its numerous PACs at the national, state, or local level. Either contribute financial support directly to the candidate or donate to the Conservative Party. (While your local Republican Party has no control over national immigration policy, you can bet that the National Republican leadership will get an earfull if people stop funding the local party because of the immigration issue.)
In addition, in many states, a party's ballot line is determined by the number of votes the party received in the last govenor's election. Every party obviously wants ot be on the top line, and certainly no worse than second. If enough people vote for the Conservative candidate, even if he or she is also the Republican candidate, then the Conservative Party would appear above the Republican line of the ballot and that would send a very strong message.
...sneak in grandmammie & grandpappie.
Sounds like the antebellum South to me.
The US Military. There, your told.
Tell me what group of unionized government employees run things efficiently?
Having spent 13 years paying Union dues, I would have to say that Unionized Police and Firefighters policies put the public at risk in many ways, to say it nicely.
Tell your GOP Senator you are disappointed by the President's immigration speech

Oh, they "get it" alright. But it's apparent that vote trolling and scratching the backs of illegal-hiring businesses that keep the party coffers full takes priority over national security, sovereignty, and cultural cohesion.

Exactly. ....and repeal the anchor baby laws and cut off the welfare freebies. Problem solved. But alas, they don't want to solve the problem.
You mean in 2008? Certainly you wont abandon those republicans in the House who drafted the illegals are lawbreakers bill, would you?
Couldn't bear to lose the comments on that thread so I brought them over here. Sorry I couldn't get all of them. To: George W. BushPresident Lincoln stated, "This country will not be conquered by outside forces, it will be those from within."
To: George W. BushFantastic article that should get national coverage but won't.

You know, the guvmint form you had to fill out as a condition of employment to prove that you are an American Citizen?
I've had to fill them out in the past, and both sides of my family were here before the Revolutionary War!
If the form still exists, and I don't know if it does or it doesn't, why haven't employers been required to use it?

It's just that vote pandering (which will never work) and repaying the illegal alien-hiring businesses that keep the party coffers full is more important to them than national security/sovereignty.

Never underestimate the Stupid Party. More like the Lemming Party these days. I have no problem with immigrants or Hispanics. So welcome to FreeRepublic and invite all your Hispanic (or non-Hispanic) friends. We're an immigrant-friendly board. But not so illegals-friendly, as you've probably noticed.

We need so SHUT down our borders and fine and prosecute employers who hire them. Confiscate their businesses if need be, but enforce existing law and stop this invasion of ILLEGALS into our country and get rid of the ones already here instead of rewarding them for breaking the law!

Yep. Immigration, George W. Bush, the U.S. Senate and our own judges will destroy this country from within. Terrorism is a distant second.

Finally! A common sense idea that's not going to shoot ourselves in the foot. Thank you so much Labyrinthos for your clear thinking! I will look at their website immediately. Any links/information/tactical insight that you have on the conservative party would be appreciated.
He was all over the place on immigration and amnesty, during the 2000 campaign, according to the following site.
I did find in another link information that he agreed to push for a guest worker program as a favor to Fox, and that was just prior to 911, but before the 2000 election, he mainly spoke of "immigration reform", not amnesty or guest worker, or so I gather.
There are no doubt many other quotes than just the ones on the following site, which I found very useful to refresh my memory:

Here's another site that has quite a few quotes on immigration, going back to 2000:

With Bush it is a cultural thing. He sees the hispanic invasion as a replacement for the "old Americans". As for the rest, I don't get it either. It can only mean the political correctness has won.
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:
In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on.
