Border Patrol Agents Warn: Bush Plan is a Trojan Horse --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Jim Kouri May 18, 2006
In a joint statement, members of the US Border Patrol, Local 2544, called President George W. Bush's border security and illegal immigration plan a Trojan Horse.
"Every day that President Bush and the Senate hold real border security hostage to their misguided amnesty program, thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens continue to flood into the country. Make no mistake, most of them get by us. We are losing this war, and it's not even close. Contact your senators and congressmen now. Tell them to secure the border and tell them to reject amnesty programs (so called 'guest-worker')," said member agents.
The agents said that Bush and the US Senate don't "get it," but Republicans in the US House of Representatives "get it." The American people "get it."
Border Patrol agents point out the illegal immigration problem is a simple issue to solve: Shut the border down to illegal aliens crossing into the US, then begin "hammering" the greedy employers who hire them.
"It's not complicated, folks," they stress.
Promising more amnesty is not going to dissuade anyone from coming into the US illegally.
The Border Patrol agents then turned their ire towards the President. They say his post-speech propaganda trip to Yuma, Arizona is a carefully planned PR stunt. There are a lot of very wealthy farmers in the Yuma area who dominate the local economy and have been using the cheap labor of illegal aliens to build their wealth for many years. Bush speaks their language.
The agents add, "The American people should also know that any 'statements' or 'comments' from top-level Border Patrol managers should be taken with a grain of salt. They say what they're told to say. Period."
The Border Patrol also noted that "President Bush is doing back flips to assure the hypocritical El Presidente Fox that America will not 'militarize' the border."
"We didn't realize that Fox was running things here. Is the Mexican government paying for any of this? Of course not. Further, Fox has already "militarized" the border. Mexico has plenty of troops on the border. We know this because we see them all the time and they shoot at us with rather large .50 caliber rifles. All we can do is hope their aim is bad, run from them, and then watch as the cowards from our government hide from the issue, and their government lies about them even being there.
"So........if Fox is so concerned with the 'militarization' of the border perhaps he should start on his side of the border. Fox needs to learn that the United States of America is a sovereign nation and has the absolute right to secure its borders. Fox does not have the right to dictate our internal policies. He uses his consulate officers to harass us, file lawsuits, and use every trick in the book to undermine border security so he can continue to send millions upon millions of his citizens over here to send millions upon millions of dollars back to him."
According to Senator Ted Kennedy, Americans support amnesty for illegal aliens. "Hey Teddy, we are Americans, and we don't support anything you're doing. You are a disgrace. Make sure you count us out when you lie to everyone about the "broad support" your amnesty plan enjoys,"said the Border Patrol agents.

"I just don't understand what appears to be cultural suicide by my leaders of both parties. I don't get it."
You're not alone. Most citizens of this Country don't get it either.

Is it appropriate for these agents to criticise the President like this?
The first amendment says "yes".
My guess is the same lobbyists and "special interest" groups aka.....La Raza, MeCHA, etc. are using the same methods ($$$$) on union leaders that they've used to capture the hearts and minds of our (alleged) political leaders.
Don't think so. They still need to apply for and get a Border Crossing Card from a US consulate or Embassy. If they're un/under-employed they're unlikely to be granted such a card.
and didn't know his imigration policy
"Translation from the union: We want higher salaries." - Kenny Bunkport
People who work usually want higher salaries.
Rather than attack their motives, why not address their arguments?
I agree. The border patrol isn't like the military in that sense I guess. If it was okay for our troops in Iraq to criticise their bosses publicly, would they?
The border agent is probably one of the many DU trolls and disruptors posting here lately, and is obviously a Bush-hater.
Sadly, these days I must add a "/sarcasm" to distinguish this from an authentic response.
What about the Farm Workers Union founded by Caesar Chavez?
Perhaps they're counting on the newly-legalized illegals becoming their new union members.
The Farm Workers Union should be the most vocal opponent to illegal immigration.
You can read this from the United Farm Workers:
Take Action: Tell President Bush: It's time for action, not just words! [they want amnesty].
Anyone know what is going on here?

Doesn't our president take an oath or something?
>>Why would anyone allow huge floods of illegal migrants squatting in their own country? What's the advantage? What's the motive?<<
Benefits:
Bush: Gets to realize his dream of a giant North American economic bloc...
Democrats: Floods of Democrat voters and the end of Republican domination, forever
Us: We're scr*wed
I don't support open borders.
But I sure as hell won't accuse those that do of being drug dealers.
If it was okay for our troops in Iraq to criticise their bosses publicly, would they?
Your post 52 is so 1970's.
I believe many of the single issue conservatives are basically luddites longing for days past.
Those days are gone. Get used to the new reality.
fyi, chavez died a few years ago.
The Border Patrol Union has no real power, they cannot strike by law. It is not a Union in the way we usually think of Unions, it is more like a professional organization. If a BP finds himself in trouble they will have someone represent him, that type of thing. If a BP officer thinks working conditions are bad- shifts scheduled so close together not enough time to commute and sleep - that type of thing they write letters of complaint on the behalf of those involved. They have no leverage though since they can't strike. The rank and file BP are not allowed to talk about what really happens on the border. The Union will many times speak up for them if something is getting swept under the rug, like incursions by Mexican Military or BP getting shot at.
