Border Patrol Agents Warn: Bush Plan is a Trojan Horse --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Jim Kouri May 18, 2006

In a joint statement, members of the US Border Patrol, Local 2544, called President George W. Bush's border security and illegal immigration plan a Trojan Horse.

"Every day that President Bush and the Senate hold real border security hostage to their misguided amnesty program, thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens continue to flood into the country. Make no mistake, most of them get by us. We are losing this war, and it's not even close. Contact your senators and congressmen now. Tell them to secure the border and tell them to reject amnesty programs (so called 'guest-worker')," said member agents.

The agents said that Bush and the US Senate don't "get it," but Republicans in the US House of Representatives "get it." The American people "get it."

Border Patrol agents point out the illegal immigration problem is a simple issue to solve: Shut the border down to illegal aliens crossing into the US, then begin "hammering" the greedy employers who hire them.

"It's not complicated, folks," they stress.

Promising more amnesty is not going to dissuade anyone from coming into the US illegally.

The Border Patrol agents then turned their ire towards the President. They say his post-speech propaganda trip to Yuma, Arizona is a carefully planned PR stunt. There are a lot of very wealthy farmers in the Yuma area who dominate the local economy and have been using the cheap labor of illegal aliens to build their wealth for many years. Bush speaks their language.

The agents add, "The American people should also know that any 'statements' or 'comments' from top-level Border Patrol managers should be taken with a grain of salt. They say what they're told to say. Period."

The Border Patrol also noted that "President Bush is doing back flips to assure the hypocritical El Presidente Fox that America will not 'militarize' the border."

"We didn't realize that Fox was running things here. Is the Mexican government paying for any of this? Of course not. Further, Fox has already "militarized" the border. Mexico has plenty of troops on the border. We know this because we see them all the time and they shoot at us with rather large .50 caliber rifles. All we can do is hope their aim is bad, run from them, and then watch as the cowards from our government hide from the issue, and their government lies about them even being there.

"So........if Fox is so concerned with the 'militarization' of the border perhaps he should start on his side of the border. Fox needs to learn that the United States of America is a sovereign nation and has the absolute right to secure its borders. Fox does not have the right to dictate our internal policies. He uses his consulate officers to harass us, file lawsuits, and use every trick in the book to undermine border security so he can continue to send millions upon millions of his citizens over here to send millions upon millions of dollars back to him."

According to Senator Ted Kennedy, Americans support amnesty for illegal aliens. "Hey Teddy, we are Americans, and we don't support anything you're doing. You are a disgrace. Make sure you count us out when you lie to everyone about the "broad support" your amnesty plan enjoys,"said the Border Patrol agents.

Jim Kouri, CPP is currently fifth vice-president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police

Oh pleaseee

You just got a tax cut for crying out loud, two conservative judges on SCOTUS and many other conservative issues have gone your way.

He was up front with his policy back in 2000 and 2004. I remember the debates well.

For you to tell me you campaigned for him and didn't know his imigration policy and it meant sooooo much too you .. well I just don't buy it.

The unions are split. The service unions support amnesty because they have a lot of dues-paying illegals and because they stand to gain a lot of new members. The trade unions oppose amnesty because it drives down wages and undercuts collective bargaining.

This is 100% correct. However, the repubs know that the defacto guest workers/illegals have helped the economy and that is why this is not being done.

If you disagree, consider that despite the war in iraq, a huge trade deficit, aging population, and 3 dollar gas, unemployment is near an all time low, and gdp growth is 3-5%.

I've been wondering about this myself. Why would anyone allow huge floods of illegal migrants squatting in their own country? What's the advantage? What's the motive? The obvious lessons from history demonstrate the large numbers of people moving into your country without some sort of official policy of assimilation leads to the destruction of the original culture. I don't have any answers at all for this. It doesn't even make sense in a short-term manner. All I know is that as soon as an unassimilated mass of people squat on your land, there is war, disruption, and, in many cases, takeover of the original culture. I'm sitting here thinking about the Carthaginian takeover of Spain... followed by the Romans moving in... followed by the Visigoths and the other "barbarian tribes"... followed by the Arabs... you can't just allow people to move into your country as squatters and expect nothing to happen. In this case, the Leftists are correct in their appeal to white guilt - the takeover of North America by the West was certainly the product of unassimilated people simply moving in for jobs, land, and opportunity. (This is different from what happened to my grandparents, who were obligated to learn about the United States, speak English, and were pressured in many ways to become part of their new country.) I also think about the Roman approach to citizenship. When citizenship (in the Roman manner) was hard to get, it was valuable and appreciated.

I just don't understand what appears to be cultural suicide by my leaders of both parties. I don't get it.

Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

-Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or

-Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers;
*******
This is only part of the law, But I am trying to get a reason why people break it.
I can think of only 4 reasons.

1) carrying drugs or drug profits.
2) criminals who can't pass a border inspection on their ID.
3) OTM (other than Mexican).
4) people who are too stupid to know that any Mexican with clean ID and baggage can ride a bus to a port of entry and cross into the United States than move freely for several miles.

None of these people will be assets to the United States.
I wonder which of the 4 reasons the open border lobby support?
I think it is number 1.

Unions should be full force against the amnesty.

Why is that ? Most union members are public employee unions and the auto unions are getting killed by the japanese not illegals.

Huh. Is it appropriate for these agents to criticise the President like this?

Let's see if they'll be called into the principles office shortly and within a few days make a different statement.

spin, lies, and character assasination may work for the mainstream media, but it does not cut it here.

You just make you and your positions look bad.

Seems the unions are losing membership possibilities if illegals consume the jobs.

Do the Secret Service and FBI have unions?

They may have some kind of professional organizations, though not a true union like the BP appears to have.

Of course the SS and FBI, unlike the BP are generally supported in their missions by the administration.

I just got up and am still a bit groggy, but I've reread the article several times, and do not get that the Border Patrol is saying anything different than the majority of Freepers have been saying. They are against amnesty in any way, shape or form. I came away with the slant that they are seeing a massive increase in illegals entering the US since POTUS's Monday speech, and want more power to stem the flow. Apply pressure to The Hill to say NO to the temporary worker clause, and arrest employers who hire illegals.
