Yall want to hear somethin funny? I recently had a revelation. I dont have to vote Republican. In fact, Im leaning towards voting straight Dem in the Fall. Once the Republicans get done #### up immigration reform, so that we have full amnesty coupled with no enforcement and greatly increased illegal immigrant rights, I think Ill be done voting for them for a while.

People with knee jerk reactions like that ought to vote Dem.

It should say " I am sick of Republicans who actually are Liberals under the mask of being a Republican "

I was a Democrat for most of my adult life. I regret those years of "darkness" in my life.

I registered as a Democrat when I first was eligible to vote. Lasted 5 years or so.
I have never changed my registration. It's waaaay too much fun voting in the primaries...

Wow.

The reason I vote Republican is that the Republicans are running against Democrats. Not much of a reason, but it's the best one I've got.

I would vote democrat in some very local races but I'm a lot more likely to vote third party where I can find conservatives.

Unfortunately for the power-hungry Republicans, this is actually a common sentiment. Going to be a big wake-up call in November.

Great entry! I feel almost exactly like this, as do many of my fellow conservatives.

When neither party represents you people naturally feel the greatest anger at those they trusted in. I wouldn't be surprised if alot of people vote democrat as a way to get back at Republicans who have ignored those of us who have faithfully gone out and voted for what we thought was the party most in line with our ideals.
To: canadianally
Its that they claim to be on the libertarian/conservative side, and they are anything but, and they prove it again and again and again. It's worse: both major parties are now actively and aggresively anti-libertarian. I'll never vote for a Democrat as long as I live, but the Republicans are now loudly telling me they don't want voters like me in their clique.

Move to Mass. where you'll have precious few Republicans to vote for. (Uncontested elections; strong Dem incumbents, etc.)
Senators: Both Dems, Swimmer and Lurch
Congressmen: 10, ALL Dems, including Barney Frank
and Martin Taliban Meehan
State legislature: from Boston Globe, 11/3/04:
"The results leave Republicans with just six of 40 Senate seats and 21 of 160 House seats"
Atty General: Democrat (T. Reilly)
State Treasurer: Democrat (T. Cahill)
Secy. of the Commonwealth: Democrat (Bill Galvin)
Gov & Lt Gov: RINO Republicans (Romney, Healey)
To: Sam Cree
"The reason I vote Republican is that the Republicans are running against Democrats. Not much of a reason, but it's the best one I've got."
I'm with you on that one. I vote Republican because it's the lesser of two evils.
