LOL. I am a long way from San Francisco, but I would bet that Washington area commuters and the SF commuters are about the same.
Case in point; A few years back, some nutwad climbed up on the Woodrow Wilson bridge screaming loudly about jumping, (The bridge is part of the beltway and spans the Potomac joining Virginia and Maryland). Anyway, traffic on both sides of the bridge was stopped while the cops tried to talk dude down. Dude was not having any, and the cops just let him stay.
Meanwhile, traffic was backed up for miles and miles. A local radio station started interviewing people stuck on the beltway. Nice little ladies were saying thing like, "Why don't the police just shoot the b*****, that ass.... has been up there for hours. Just shoot the f***** and be done with it..." People went absolutely ape. People were offering to "just shoot the stupid b******" themselves
The commuting situation here is so fragile that if one street is closed, traffic backs up for miles. DC is about 60 square miles, and the federal district, that is where most of the governmental building are located is about 10 miles of that.
Gone are the days when you could take a nice drive into work from the Maryland or Virginia suburb's.

Oh I wish they would try. Open armed rebellion and insurrection and attempt to overthrow the constitutionally elected government and installation of a dictatorship run by the UN, Amnesty, and ACLU would put an end to the DUmmie party once and for all.

In all seriousness, I've seen a person crack to where he required confinement to a mental hospital; many of these DUmmieland posts say to me that major "events" are imminent and inevitable for many of the individuals and whatever "community" DU represents as a whole.
Quite frankly, I believe that we will soon see random, crazy, futile vandalism / protests that might be intended to be domestic terrorism, but not the "organized" stuff (ELF et al) that we've seen so far. It'll be racheted up to the kind of inexplicably complete detachment from reality that will result in somebody painting his body with slogans, picking up a torch, and running into an airplane propeller and think that he's starting The Revolution.

OR-everyone stay HOME for 2-3 weeks. No work, or purchases or trades of any kind. Go to your keyboards & stay resolute. Hands in pockets. This has me laughing hysterically!! The image of DUmmies sitting in front of their computers, staring resolutely at a blank screen, convinced this will bring about the demise of the EVIL Bush regime, is too much!! LOL

Man, it's after 11:OO A.M.
Did I miss it?
To: alarm rider
The Police would not be needed at all, nasty and irritated commuters would just riot. It wouldn't be too bad -- after all, DC has the strictest gun laws in the country, so at least no one would get shot. ;-)

No news yet. Must be a news blackout.

You have no idea. I actually spend more time in DUmmieland than I do on FR. Because, well, it's both amusing and entertaining to see what depths of foolishness and depravity these idiots can plunge. Also, the depravity bit isn't quite as entertaining as the other. But it's very educational.

"We then would begin the decades-long, arduous task of rebuilding the Republic and restoring America as a law abiding member of the community of Nations."
What an idiot! How do you rebuild a "Repbulic" by handing over soveriegnty to a community of nations.

Then let them shoot me first. Oh, real brave coming from someone who 1) won't even bother going, when it comes down to it, and 2) already has delusions of being on a BFEE "hit list" because he archives a few nutjob radio broadcasts on a web page.

My worry is that * would use something like this as a pretense to declare martial law. Oh please... he'd probably serve you all some Texas BBQ... even if y'all could scrape up a 1/10 of a million, it'd be the best thing for W's poll numbers short of a public execution of Osama bin Laden.

I figured out how to get them to keep their promises to leaving the country if Bush won another election.
Posting a thread explaining that it's a Rovian plot to keep the true story from the masses - the French are rioting because they hate Bush!
I'll chip in for their one way tickets. :)

dear FBI,
The Democratic Underground are plotting to overthrow our government. Thought you might like to investigate.

I thought there was another one of those "shut down the economy by not buying anything" days around the election, too. And as I recall, when the government was shut down in 1994, the Democrats thought that was absolutely unthinkable-- how did we all survive?
