The thought of Sarandon "playing" Sheehan woke me up...

Thinking Out Loud…

I know its usually dangerous to write up something that originates during sleep—part dream and then there’s the part that wakes you up too much. Stress? I suppose that’s what it is. It repeated itself last night when the image of some of our favorite detractors—some call them liberals—in every case, they’re off the mark on many issues, came to me as they repeated their very skewed (dishonest) message.

Having received a mailing from People for the American Way probably settled deep into my sub-conscious and made its contribution to this latest diatribe. I have no idea why they sent they’re request for a donation to me… I do not know how they got my name and address. That part of it is mildly disturbing. But the small bit of satisfaction I take from sending it back (empty of course) making them pay the postage is good. Oh, and I filled out the survey they included—sure to make whoever opens it smile upside down.

Back to subject. It seems we will have some sort of film starring Susan Sarandon playing this exploitive woman from California who has forsaken what are regarded as common forms of decency and stability in her life in order to ride her son’s death like a horse—and a horse about to die from exhaustion. It’s fine Ms. Sheehan chooses to leave behind her family and home—but it’s not fine using her son the way she is in my view. To me, she has become a literal profanity—and there’s an unending supply of that surrounding her. I wonder if Sarandon’s film will show the kooks and air their obscenity laced disinformation they love to sing and shout. Now that’s truly a silly question! There is no way we will see and hear truth from Sarandon—or Sheehan—never will, nope, not today, not tomorrow—repeat we will never hear the truth from their lips. That is we won’t if we bother to watch it at all.

Why? They’re agenda driven and facts shall suffer little consequence to their message of hate. I personally find them dislikable but I would never say I hate them—as they have and do to this day. Hate filled people are no fun to listen to or watch. They’re no fun to be around. They’re unpleasant in any forum. Most of us probably avoid them as much as we can. I’ll try to avoid their image in my sleep tonight.

I suspect they'll portray Sheehan as some sort of Joan of Arc crusading leader and not as the heavilly medicated lamb she really is.

Susan's career has been going down hill since she did 'Rocky Horror' and sang 'Touch-a, touch-a, touch me, I want to feel dirty!'

I thought Susan Sarandon's 15 minutes were up? Sounds like these two could make a sequel to "Thelma and Louise" and drive over a cliff in a "Make Love Not War" VW van...

Thank you all for your thoughts. It seems to me the silly media won't let her fame end until--geeze, liberals are in power maybe. Since that won't happen, she'll be around a long while I suspect.
They like to use things and people from time to time to attempt to stick their screwed up ideas in our eyes.

Sarandon will play what ever part about Sheehan is given to her. The two of them are so much alike it can't fail.

"I know its usually dangerous to write up something that originates during sleep—part dream and then there’s the part that wakes you up too much."
It reminds me of a very bad dream I had a few months ago. I dreamed that my younger brother (A registered Communist who abstained from voting in the 2004 elections because he seems to hate both parties) and his friend Gabe went to some kind of Democrat rally in which the keynote speakers included Ted Rall and Michael Moore. Fortunately, though, that dream did not have any scary real- life ramifications, since in real life, my brother had never even heard of Ted Rall, and once referred to Moore as a certain term too obscene to be repeated here.
But, I digress.
Susan Sarandon looks nothing like Cindy Sheehan (Sarandon's face resembles a sick, panicky bird, while Sheehan's face resembles a chimpanzee), the only things they have in common are that both are quite out of touch with the views of regular Americans, and both care about nothing but media attention. She's also not much of an actress. That's part of why it was so funny in 'Team America: World Police' when the main character says to her, "Your skills are fading with age, Ms. Sarandon." I'm sure any movie in which Sarandon plays Sheehan will be ultra- preachy and pretentious, and will be idolized by Hollywood critics.

Well done, sir! To see and hear Rall and Moore--truly a nightmarish scenario during one's slumber. All our best to you--and your brother.

Could be the sequel will be a prison drama, where Cindy visits Chavez, disagrees with him, protests outside of his home..and you know the rest of the story.

What can you expect from Sarandon who named her kid after a 2 time murderer (Jack Abbot)!

I didn't know that about her. She's been in the news again lately talking about death threats and vile things being said to her--don't ever agree with death threats of course (excpet Al Qaeda) but she is vile and will attract vile. Her perception of reality must be dope induced.

I'm still hoping Sarandon backs out. Cindy Sheehan is the role Ed Begley Jr. was born to play.

Quite true.
