Marcus of Blogger Beer has more details on how people living in the United Arab Emirate (UAE) and elsewhere get around banned sites such as Michelle Malkin's blogsite. He says it's a simple yet forward method of doing this.

That "telnet to the ISP" made me laugh and reminded me of the cheaper Auto repair manuals:
In order to replace the frammistan,
1) Remove engine.
2) Reverse the procedure.
