Pictures of today's NYC Danish Cartoon protest

Here is a link to pictures of today's rally in New York in front of the Danish Consulate near the U.N. The pictures are really interesting despite the fact that they really tried to stress non violence (for example, the sign that says "RESPONSIBLE EDITOR MUST BE PUNISHED" did not specify Sharia law and call for his tongue to be cut out...)

The really seems to have been co-sponsored by A.N.S.W.E.R. (Ramsey Clarke's outfit) A.N.S.W.E.R.'s speakers were inciteful, saying the cartoons printed in those newspapers were not only a provaction, that publication itself was an act of war.

There were quite a few signs in Hebrew; maybe they were for the benefit of the Zionist run media? (I read Hebrew: the signs say the same as some of the signs in English, such as "We respect Moses and Mohamed" etc.)

Please feel free to use the photos and/or use the link on your web sites if you choose to cover this, but please just credit the photos to El Marco.

"Islamic thinker"... Now there's a nice, concise definition for "oxymoron".

I know this sounds awful, but there is a part of me that hopes they are pumped up by CAIR to do something really threatening during one of these US demonstrations. Just as the Al Qaeda gang misjudged US reaction on 9-11, I have a feeling the CAIR folks are going to go a little too far here.

If that happens, all true Americans except for the DUmmies will DEMAND that crap be put down, decisively.

I would prefer not to having rioting in the streets here in the U.S. What I'd like to see is the Muslim community slipping a few notes to the authorities to help weed out the lunatics.

There are 1.2 billion Muslims. What percentage of 1.2 billion have been rioting and burning?

You're talking to the wrong man. I started on this thread saying I had no problem with the folks protesting today.

But in turn I would ask, what percentage of 1.2 billion have been turning in Al Qaeda? I suspect if it were more than 0.000000000000000000000001% this war on terror would be over.

Me, too. I don't see it happening. I do see protests and firebombing and killing over cartoons, though.

Not in NYC you don't -- and two papers ran some of the cartoons.

My first post: "I have no problem with this particular demonstration as represented in these photos. Change the names on the signs and it could be any demonstration by Christians against a movie or statement they don't like."

Get my position straight if you're gonna argue.

Sorry. Apologies.

I don't trust those Falun gung protesters. They look like a potentially violent bunch...

Islamic Thinkers society are pretty hefty donors to a number of our politicians.

I don't suppose their addresss is 555 Grove Street, Hearndon, Va?

Here is photo from their website.

And from that site, a list of co-sponsers of the demonstration.

Islamic Thinkers Society, MAS(Muslim American Society); ICNA(Islamic Cirlcle of North America); AMA(American Muslim Alliance); BAIS(bangladesh-American Islamic Society; Majlis Ash-Shura of NY Metropolitan Area; Muslim Center of NY; Jamaica Muslim Center; Islamic Center of Long Island; Makki Masjid; Masjid Baitul Jannah & Community Center; LIMS(Long Island Muslim Society); Arab Muslim American Federation; Masjid Omar Ben Abdel Azziz; Masjid Baitul Mukarram; Masjid Al-Aman; Madina Masjid; Shah Jalal Masjid; Bangladesh Muslim Center; Patterson Jalalabad Jame Masjid; Abu Huraira Masjid; Woodside-Sunnyside Jame Masjid; Masjid Baitul -Aman; CCJM in USA & Canada; Masjid Darus Salam; As-Safa Islamic Center, Brooklyn Broadway Jame' Masjid, Masjid Al-Hera and others

The website shows them to be extremely anti Shiite as well. They are an angry bunch too.

Point your favorite search engine at "Islamic Thinkers Society" and you'll get an eye full.

BTW, they, unlike a large number of Hamas and Al Qaeda supporting groups, do not have a 555 Grove street address. They are located in NYC. Most at the Grove Street address have been declared terrorist affiliated groups since 9-11 or have changed names and locations since then, and since being outed by RITA KATZ, a.k.a. “Anonymous,” in her book "Terrorist Hunter" a couple of years ago.

Islamic Thinkers Society was part of the group that created SAAR Foundation. SAAR was raided during Operation Greenquest.

That whole thing got quiet too. I wonder what happened to that investigation.

Muslims in the US have it pretty darned good, and they know it. For the most part, they have assimilated. The guy who lives in the house down the street from you could be muslim and you'd never know it unless you asked him. They're good people with good morals and love living in this country.

There are also some nutbags here. They haven't figured out yet that the best way to get ahead in this country is to move out of purely Islamic communities. They can't figure out why they don't have a piece of the American dream but they refuse to let go of the customs of their old country. They have confused "custom" with "religion". They are the ones to watch because all the freedom and opportunity in the world won't matter a bit if you go through life with a blindfold on.

SAAR was raided during Operation Greenquest.

SAAR was the main/top level "charity" that was located at 555 Grover Street, Herndon VA. (I'm sure you knew that of course)

I don't have the time to search the internet for photos. I've seen them, if you don't believe it, don't believe it. If you want to sit there and claim Christians haven't demonstrated with equal ferociousness in this country, and used the terms I mentioned, don't believe it.

But these "Christians" were a bit more violent than the protest in New York, or any Muslim demonstration in the US so far: http://www.prochoice.org/about_abortion/violence/history_extreme.asp Not to mention John Salvi. And Bernard Slepian. I'm as pro-life as one can get. That includes violence against vile people who provide abortions. As far as I know, nothing of this sort happened at this demonstration in New York. So when it comes to demonstrations, the "pro-life" folks who perpetrated the acts above have been more violent in their demonstrations than these folks at this particular rally were.

Sorry, the facts prove it.

Correction:

I'm as pro-life as one can get. That includes being against violence against vile people who provide abortions.

Freudian slip, perhaps...
