While I was checking out www.pittsburghkilts.com and it's latest photo gallery I came across this pic.

and this...

In the byline to the pics it mentioned

"Baghdad Jay" is on a second tour in Iraq, and wears his two-tone (Khaki with Desert MARPAT) kilt only when off duty. (His M-4 rifle, he points out, goes with him on or off duty).

Jay keeps a fantastic blog, which is a fascinating and powerful read. If you want to know what it's like to be in Iraq, forget the news channels and read Jay's blog!

I checked it out, and thought it was pretty cool although I haven't had time to go through it totally.

In his latest essay Jay defines a patriot as ...

"A man that consciously and willingly takes up the fight, to defend his family and his Country against her enemies. It is a selfless act of sacrifice and servitude performed with pride."

And ends with...

"Don't Be French!"

Perhaps other FReepers have found this site but I haven't seen it here so I thought I'd go ahead and post the link.

The King's Realm

and a couple more pics.

Hope this isn't a dupie. I did a quick search and didn't find it. Also didn't realize there was a special section for blogs. I am getting SO behind things here....sigh!

I think it's cool a soildier in Iraq has the cajones to wear a kilt there, albeit off duty of course. Still KEWL though.
