It’s worth an occasional visit to their site, because freepers demonstrate a great deal about what the far-right is thinking, and the remarkable depth of their fury toward anything running counter to the far-right movement.

While they are willing to take on anything across a wide spectrum of subjects, from their hatred of freedom of the press to their horror of tolerance, their attitude toward love is noteworthy. Most freepers claim to be reverent Christians, but their Christianity is one more reminiscent of pagan ferocity than anything Jesus ever preached. When they talk of love, they talk about a obedient experience that can only be shared by like-minded freepers; people who dare love in a fashion not acceptable to the freepers deserves to rot in hell for eternity--and the freepers would be happy to send them there. Secular Jews, gays, atheists, agnostics, liberals--none of these know what love truly is, because love is something that exists only among the righteous far-right...

I cant believe what cowards they are over there. I waited a couple hours, then I POSTED IT AGAIN. They are not putting it up. It just goes to show how hollow their words are. They say they want a debate, then I call their bluff and they wont even allow it.

I would say 'Unbelievable', but sadly it is typical. Liberals are just incredible cowards.

I can't understand why a man who has written over 25 books would fall into such a trolling low level mode to even bother writing this up.

High school age chatting Kathys write MySpace entries like this. Heck, MySpace journal entries by teenagers are more insightful than Stone's post.

As a Secular Jewish agnostic who comes from a liberal pedigree that puts Stone himself to shame, I'd like to point out the baseline foolishness of his entire thought process.

It just looks stupid. This old man is past his prime, and everyone who responds to it, including myself, is dumber for having read it.

I asked them to cease the ignorant bigoted generalizations re Freepers. I asked why the author would post such an attack piece, if not to incite hatred. I challenged them to debate re their misconception that opposition to homosexual marriage is based on intolerance of homosexuality:

"Please explain why society has rules against polygamy and incest? Why can't I have 3 wives? Why can't a father/daughter of consenting age marry and adopt children? Or wouldn't you agree that society has imposed boundries re marriage that are not necessarily based on intolerance?"

Posted this AM. 2 newer posts have shown up, mine has been deleted, so I can only conclude that Gene Stone is an intellectual coward. He's not open-minded, he's a mere hate-mongerer. Once more we find that any attempt to engage the Left in civil discourse is a waste of time. No surprise there. Let them rot in the ignorance of their echo-chamber.
