Jimmy Carter is a real patriot & a great American (does this qualify for a BARF alert?)

Jimmy Carter is a true Christian, a real patriot & a great American. If we had only elected him to a second term, we'd probably all be driving hybrid and high mileage vehicles and using solar and alternative energy sources and the world would be more peaceful and the environment would be healthy.

I've been going over to the DU lately (yeah, I know, there are better things to do), just to have some fun watching liberal heads exploding during the Alito confirmation process. I accidently found this post and I just couldn't stop myself from posting it here. If it hadn't been for the fact that it's from the DUmmyland I would be pretty sure that it's only a joke.

They forgot the part about still being embroiled in a cold war with the Soviet Block
To: Tarkin
LOL.
I think these same DUmmies forgot (or never knew) the things Ted Kennedy was saying in 1980 about Carter.
More likely, we'd be speaking russian right now if Carter had won another term.

We'd see 25% interest rates, 20% unemployment, gas would have been $2.50 back then, and our hostages would be Iranian citizens.

I always say that a country's greatness and the patriotism of its citizens can be measured by only one yardstick: the number of Japanese hybrids in use.
Does it matter if one finances that hybrid at interest rates of over 18% per annum? Not at all.

Thanks to Jimmy Carter, a mad man in North Korea has NUKES. The dumb-ass Carter took a murderous thug who claims deity at his word.
Carter is the biggest fool in history, and the world is FAR more dangerous BECAUSE of him.

Actually, spending some time DU is some of the best therapy available in this day and age.
Remember - no matter how bad things seem or how bad you feel about something, you're not delusional like those nutjobs.
So rest and relax in the knowledge that if you are troubled by something....it at least is real. Unlike the moonbats who wrap their heads in tinfoil at night so that Bushitler and Karl 'the dark overlord' Rove can't control their brainwaves through Halliburton's satellite transmitters -- all funded by the Carlysle Group.

Jimmy Carter was a pretty bad president.
But he was and is a decent human being.
Wouldn't bother me one bit if he was my next door neighbor.

I was speaking with someone today who is terrified that her son will be drafted. Army recruiting is so far below target levels, that Bush is going to begin a draft any day now. Apparently.
She was also very worried about paying for her daughter's college education. The college expects $27,000. "$27,000!! I don't have $27,000! And if I did, you can bet I wouldn't be staying at home on my vacation, like I'm going to! I'd be taking a vacation to Disneyland!"
Looks like carefully managing the family's money is not a strong suit.
