According to the definition of treason spelled out in the U.S. Constitution, and Senator Rockefeller’s own account, there has not been a more clear-cut case of treason in modern history.

Jane Fonda's North Vietnam trip raised the bar. She wasn't tried for treason then, and Rockefeller won't be held accountable today.

Please let this happen.

Because we let John Kerry get away with treason, treason has become popular among Democrats, and yes, I do question their patriotism.

It will not stop until someone important goes down.

Senator Rockefeller was at the time of his trip, less than four months after 9/11, Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence ...

Rockefeller puts the "moron" in "oxymoron," when it comes to someone as dimwitted as he being on the Intelligence Committee.

The Senate needs to clean up its own mess...seperate and apart from whether the DOJ nabs Rocky. Why is this man still Ranking Member of the Intelligence Committee? That is what I want to know right now.

I wonder if they are going to just allow him to resign from the senate or if they will actually prosecute him?

The question now is whether or not Senator John D. Rockefeller will now resign from his Vice Chairmanship of the Senate Intelligence Committee, or shall he be frog marched from chambers.

I would personally like to see the second option, with Levin, Durbin and Kerry right behind him in irons.

Boy, this link is getting a workout today.

I refer to the United States Code:

TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 115 > § 2381 Prev | Next

§ 2381. Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode18/usc_sec_18_00002381----000-.html

Why is it too much effort for the Attorney General to empanel a Federal Grand Jury, and let them decide whether the words and actions of such as Joel Stein (of the LA Times) or Senator Rockefeller or even former President Clinton constitute an offense under the above title?
