OK, new thread for the next week.
First, a big shout out to the SETI and BOINC members who have added CPUs to the effort. Remember, its Team 36120, NOT Team 0.
Next, congrats to all for bumping our team up to 456 processors and 209 user names. We have a number of new users in the team, with over a dozen folders now from GetLoaded.com all popping onto the hit list this week.
Special mention to Klutz Dohanger, who has quietly volunteered over 100 systems to fold. That is 20% of all of the Free Republic Folders systems actively engaged in research. Klutz is the first to earn 100,000 points.
We now have ten members who have contributed at least 10,000 points each. Malsua, Ken in Texas, Andrewksu, LSimpson and kingu have all reached this milestone, and Uriah will join them next week. Great job!
Even more impressive, our team now boasts 113 members who have folded at least 1,000 points. That is more than the entire number of CPUs folding for our erstwhile left-wing environazi competitors!
Free Republic Folding@Home Stats Page
On the global front, Free Republic Folders is now listed at # 487. We are poised to overtake (today):
MaximumCPU (these guys are serious overclockers)
BadgerBadgerBadger
ECU-SCIS-Cluster (82 CPU cluster in Australia)
BensCustomCases
Greenland HS in Winslow, AR Tech Labs
and the Univ of Stoney Brook Math Club, Stoney Brook NY
As we continue to grow there are a number of milestones coming around the bend:
Top 400 by next Friday
Top 300 by the end of the month
We have 610,000 points so far and have folded over 5,000 WU. We will reach:
750,000 points by Jan 24
1,000,000 points by mid February
Thanks again to all that are helping us advance science and promote the peaceful use of computers.
Extreme Overclockers Stats for Free Republic ^
My forays into thread starting is a flop. I'll sit back and wait for the new one. re: this one. :-)
They misspelled ask...

P
LOL! And be sure to take it out of the dryer before it rumples!
We're back in the game after losing my machine for a whole week (and a power outage losing 2 days worth of folding on another machine). So 3 CPUs back online for Happy Babymoon :)

Even though it might be 'possible' to do it in a technical sense, it would most likely require a fair amount of manual effort on the part of those that maintain the stats data base. Considering the number of requests they probably get for something like this, the likely response from them is "I'm sorry, we can't do that."
In any event... keep on folding!!
Top 400 by next Friday Top 300 by the end of the month
Lets not overlook two other stats - we're also consistently in the top 75 of overall points per day average - currently at #52. This is out of ALL folding teams that are active. We're also #65 in total points per week.
The biggest hurdle, is just going to keep folding long enough to accumulate enough total points to pass the big dogs, who have been folding a lot longer than we have.
Missed 40k by 20 points, heh.
Ah well, no biggie. I'm not really watching the total points much these days, mostly daily production. Kicking 2k/day would be a goal I'm after :). Like my my current stable of machines don't have the juice for it though. Guess I'll just have to add more.
Very true...but it will take a year to make the top 100 at our current rate! Simply put, we need more systems to "fold".
!! Home boy Blade computing !!
Did you see my question on the other thread?
*sniff*
No computer is safe around you :D
I too am proud to join such an extremely talented and right-minded group.
I have dreamed of securing many blades for judicious slicing and folding...
perhaps in my future...
If you live anywhere near a Fry's...never, ever go to this site. It is evil and far worse than criaigslist and will lead to a divorce or worse!
http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com/
I don't know the exact answer to your question, but points are applied to a protein depending on complexity.
My gut feeling is that the number of steps is wrong as listed.
I am slowly converting systems over to the Texas Booster account, so my totals will increase. I am shooting for 1,000 ppd. Too many of my systems are operating at 50% or 60%.
Along the way I snagged another system at work that is mostly unused. I would really like to see us have more active users than some of the big boys.
HardOCP, here we come. Ha! I would be glad just to outfold SISD!
