I absolutely love this. It was Rove's fault that very time kerry opened his mouth, "when I was in Viet Nam" came out.
"With the quality candidate we had in Kerry and the issues that he was so qualified to deal with"
ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!! I vote for this as the funniest DUFU quote of the year!
No, no. It's because he is afraid of those Freeper Hit Squads out there.
I believe I can lie
I believe we can impeach this guy
I think about it every night and day
Forge some docs and lie away
I believe I am sore
Lucy yanked that football away once more
I believe I can lie
I believe I can lie
(Oh) I believe I can lie

Make that Travis County Democrat Ben Barnes, who offered nothing but his own assertions (and no documentation) some 30 years after the supposed fact. Not that I would even imply that this would possibly affect Barnes' credibility...
PJ, on a side note, for someone as far-gone delusional as Mapes, is Bolshevik red still appropriate? Maybe some other color should be employed for these extreme cases.
Shoot, I thought they had something new.
I'll give the DUmmies credit for one thing... they do recycle. Paper, plastic, old fake news stories...
Excellent song! But now I'm going to have the tune stuck in my head all day.

I found it!
[The fabricator] grabbed the service numbers from released records, not realizing that they would never show up on a 72-73 document. Irony is, he put the anachronistic service numbers in the wrong format - the FG had to be a prefix, not a suffix, like FG 1234567...For a while we used to put the two letter code FG (means Air Guard; FR means Air Force Reserve, FV means active duty Air Force) as a suffix to the new SSNo ID, as in 987 65 4321FG. Later we dropped the two letter code entirely. [The fabricator's] personal experience was with the 987-65-4321 FV format (actually, the Army Guard used different codes), so when he grabbed the service number from files to add a hint of authenticity to the memos, he probably reverted to habit. Stupid, because if you look at Bush's real records, you will see the letters FG as a prefix - he couldn't even plagiarize correctly!
I know the feeling. I also get it whenever I hear a DUmmiecrat spew about how much they want to make sure that deployed military members' votes are counted.
They've gone under the underground now since you chose this as a DUFU. There are some really crazy people at DU who take lots of meds for their mental conditions. I've peaked at their mental health forum and it's scary there are so many mentally ill people posting on DU. They inflame each other and feed off of each other which is what makes it so scary. I'd feel sorry for them because of their distorted ways of looking at the world but they congregate on DU and go into a frenzy. Many of them are marginally functional.

Some reviews are the typical liberal lies about how great it is, four stars, five stars! But also: "This is a loser. She should get together with other people who write these books that are full of lies like Joe Wilson's, Richard Clarke and Cindy Sheehan. Don't waste your money on this stuff when there are some really good books out there."
Also: "And now she's whining about it.
We could sum up this book thusly:
"I live in a world where sloppy journalism and slander can cost news producers their jobs! And it's all Bush's fault! WAAAAAH! WAAAAAH! WAAAAAH!"
Oh, put a sock in it. . ."
And "It is interesting to read the book and at the same time the independent investigation commissioned by CBS. Ms Mapes continues with her own "spin" when many of her supposed facts have been shot down by the inquiry. In addition she has a habit of omitting items brought up in the inquiry that show her in a very poor light."
Should be filed under Fiction?
Another review condemned the "one star" reviewers as not having read the book. I'd bet the four and five star
reviews it got were from libs who hadn't read it, that's
for sure!
But some other reviewer also "gets it": "There's a good reason that CBS hung Mary Mapes out to dry and put Dan Rather to pasture: the documents are forgeries. She can't prove them to be true, not in her endless interviews promoting this book nor in the book itself.
In the past couple of years, our "Mainstream Media" has become a hilarious comedy of errors. We're not too far from the madness of Paddy Chayefsky's brilliant media satire, NETWORK. "
"What Mary did is against all rules of journalism. She should have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that her fakes memos were real before going public. It is just like all liberals who think that what they say is gospel without any regard to the truth.
"I have seen Miss Mary on tv and I thought she was pretty pitiful. She ignores the truth and continues to lie about everything. People are more aware today than ever before and the truth has a way of coming out. Before, there was no internet to find out information on your own. We do not have to listen to the MSM to get the news and the truth. Thank God for FR for getting the truth out!
----
"Although I have been of the opinion that this is a deceitful person with an agenda and no regard for the actual truth, I had planned to purchase her book and take a fresh view. I have however seen her recent appearances on the news and talk show circuit and find my original suspicions confirmed. This is one bitter and mean lady. I have no doubt that a person like W had an easier time with his service than us regular folks would.... but to date I have seen no evidence of the kind of fraud she alleges. I see no reason to buy this book so I can hear her assertion that it is up to the President to prove her claims wrong !!! She still will not admit that the documents that were the basis of her story are flawed AT ALL !"
LOL!!!
Are they referring to the same Texas Air National Guard that was running want ads for pilots in the Air Force Times? That Texas Air National Guard?
The TANG wanted former active duty USAF pilots at that time but couldn't get enough of them because the Air Force was keeping all the pilots they could at that time. The airlines were getting a large number of those who got out as many didn't want to go back to Vietnam and thought the ANG would be an easy way to get sent back. Most would have went back if called, but they weren't going to volunteer for it.
The best option for the ANG was to train their own pilots. A Yale grad in good shape was just the kind of person they were looking for.
Now you and he must be eliminated. GIT RITE ON IT BOYS. Ok make your will your destruction is certain.
Show those original documents/orders to the press and you'll have a wedge to pry open the rest of the story.
What? You don't have any, you're just going on memory? Oh okay, never mind, DUmmie... You have a wedgie, instead.
