When Charles Henrickson suggested earlier today that I do a DUmmie FUnnies Year In Review featuring the Best of the DUmmie FUnnies for the past year, my first reaction was one of a weary groan. The reason is that I am filling in on some business for a friend so he can take a vacation this week. Little did I know when I made the committment that I would end up sleep deprived and EXHAUSTED. Thus my hestitation to take up the DUmmie FUnnies Year In Review project.

However, my SECOND thought is that this is a great way to get YOU all to do the work. Yes, it is up to all of YOU to list (with links) your favorite DUFU editions with selected DUmmie quotes. This way all of you can participate. Also I can get some rest until the regular DUFU editions start next Monday.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year PJ. Thanks for all the fun and laughs you have given me this past year, I love the DUFUnnies. I get a huge kick out of watching the DUmmies get their hopes up only to be dashed on the rocks of reality when Fitzmas doesn't come or Bev Harris scams them or Kerry doesn't overturn the election. It's enough to warm this evil old Republican heart. Thanks again!

I checked out the site for the DU moderator.

#1 requirement: - Your political ideology is not important... We need centrists and leftists and everyone in between to serve as moderators.

I am offended!!!! Only centrists and leftist need apply!!!! That's like a sign in the window of the store that reads: "ONLY WHITES NEED APPLY". For all their talk about being "tolerant", "enlightened", and "educated", they sure are a bunch of DUmmies.....

As for my fav DUmmie FUnnie, it's a tossup between the "Andy Scamdy" and the "I BELIEEEEEEVE!" ones.

I love ALL the DUFU's; picking a fav is like trying to pick which one of your children you love the most.....

The Scamdy threads. Those had everything. Drama, Intrigue, Betrayal, mysterious phone calls in the middle of the night threatening violence, politics. I know Bev Harriswas another DU spawned scandal, but she did not hold a candle to Andy. Andy had panache! When Bev was outted as a charlatan, she slinked away when her support slipped. Andy faced the slings and arrows that came his way, stood firm and the DUmmies never wavered in their support for him. He may not have had any principles, but dammit, he had style.

He was also a Master of Disguise!
