King Kong as politics? I never saw it that way. Strange.
Is this the Hollywierd remake where King Kong goes fudge packing? ..Oops nevermind, wrong movie, that was the cowboy one the fruits just put out.
misc ping
Yeah, but there are absolutely ZERO Tyrannasuri and Brontausori left, but which critter do the Hollyweirdo screen writers have their lead characters choose to bring back to the states?????? Sheeeesh!!!
Saw it. Dumb movie. Too long. Don't waste your money.
These remakes are NEVER as good as the originals. These people in Hollywood today can't even come close...Godzilla flopped too. And look what they did with such wonderful T.V. shows like The Flintstones, Bewitched, and The Honeymooners. Classic movies and television should be off limits to these boneheads.
BoxOfficeMojo has the numbers in for Kong. So far it's pulled $66mil domestically BUT $80mil internationally.
Another movie being watched on FreeRepublic is Narnia, and that has made $112mil domestically (it's the second week of release) but only $41mil internationally.
So it looks like Kong will end up making more money due to the international market primarily. Both will make their money back at the very least due to intense DVD sales (I will for sure buy Narnia as I love the books, and am pretty sure I will get Kong just to have at least).
