As we watched the build up to the Tookie Williams execution last night, I was struck by the amount of bleeding heart liberals who came out pleading for the life of the founder of one of Los Angeles and the Nations most notorious gangs. This is a man who was convicted of the brutal slaying of four innocent people twenty five years ago and had a full quarter century to appeal his conviction.
I propose a trade with the Left. They obviously care more for the life of convicted murderers than they do unborn children. Therefore, I propose trading capital punishment (make it life without possibility of parole and appeals limited to 5 years) for an immediate end to all abortions. The question seems to be the value of life, so let us weigh that value and exercise our Right to Choose life in all occasions. I believe it would be a fair trade.

My thoughts exactly.
I'd do it. They wouldn't.
you re sooooo right.
Let the bleating bleeding hearts start and fund a private non tax exempt organization that takes care of those sentenced to death and pays for thier keep from the day they are sentenced. Have it run and operated by the Feds and funded by the Libs. That keeps the operating price high and diverts some of the Libs funds away from destroying America. Let the individual states sign on as they desire.
I have thought of this bargain too, but as is being said, they would never go for it because they can't admit that an unborn baby is "life", despite all reasoning and evidence to the contrary. I also love their "potential life" argument. So is the unborn baby not alive, but may be after a magical occurrence? Is the baby a potential human? Is the baby a potential citizen?
I think it is fairly arguable whether an unborn baby has constitutional protection because of the historical meaning of the word "person". Today, there probably is a legal distinction between a human life and a legal person. However, by the same token there is nothing in the constitution granting a made up "right" to abortion. Without an amendment, the states should decide for themselves. Justice Ginsberg, .........Justice Stevens,........ we are your family and we miss you so much. You've served your country so please come home to spend more time with us. We need you now, not later. Please?
How 'bout we stop capitol punishment, but... we send all
death row convicts to Iraq... FOR LIFE. No jail, but they
can NEVER leave.
Liberals get their way, and we don't have to pay for their
incarceration.
So your idea is basically to free all murderers. How about we just go back to hangin' 'em with a stout rope.
How about we give up capital punishment, and in return, agree to install a media center in their cells?
I prefer limit appeals to 1 yr and then trade their life for one fetus.
One doctor recently reflected on his creer and estimated that he terminated 20,000 pregnancies. Think of wht the world may have lost by his efforts.
Sounds good to me.
The McCain ammendment would not allow it.
I like the chair
I saw that thread, he is an abortionist from Arkansas and is proud of the fact that he "ended life". He was proud of it. Unbelievable. I can only imagine him sitting on a crowded bench at the gates of hell someday. "Hey, why is everyone here in black and white? And why is everyone speaking German?"
