Would any conservative or libertarian poster to this Board be interested in taking part in a project to build a website which would be a centralized resource center for our side in the political struggle?
Some conservative and libertarian acquaintances of mine are planning to start a web site where anyone could go to find out the conservative and/or libertarian view(s) on practically anything. It would have both original essays and links to other sites, including this one, and PWIC.
It would be invaluable for our side in on-line debates, for students writing term papers, for anyone wanting to write a letter or article on a political topic, and for conservatives and libertarians in general.
But it will require a lot of people to help with doing research and writing.
If anyone is interested in this, can they send me an email and let me know?

However, it's only posted in pursuit of noble goals.
We're not pushing a website.
In fact, the site itself is still only an inchoate idea, though much more concrete as a concept than it was several months ago.
If you want a more complete overview of what this potential forum might entail, then I suggest you contact Doug personally.
Thank you-in advance-for your forbearance.

If you're going to post something from Protestwarrior, at least put belly girl up there too.
Why build something that already exists?

You'd be doing me a huge favor.

Our Side....Together,......All over the world.
I like it.

You mean something like a conservative wiki?
Conservatives and Libertarians disagree about a great many things. On many issues, you will not be able to have one answer that suits both groups. A resource website is a good idea, but it will either be bifurcated ("Push 1 for Conservative, Push 2 for Libertarian") or else you will have to decide that the website will only support one of those ideologies.
In the interest of harmony, you might want to block certain topics. I sometimes engage in the Creation/ID/Evolutionary debates on FR. But they are distracting and work against the idea of a unified front against the Left. Your site might want to avoid taking a side on this sort of issue.
Let's hope not!
:_)
Seriously though, the premise is similar, i.e. to set up a comprehensive-if not encyclopedic-resource that can be utilized by conservative and right-leaning individuals in online settings.
I think he means something like Free Republic.
I've never tried to participate in a wiki, but it seems you can limit participation, so that it's not a free-for-all. I know it's not pretty. :-)
That sounds like a lot of work, and I'm just not inchoate.
Hopefully, when you get this up and running, the politicians in the Republican Party will drop by to see what's "conservative," since clearly none of them have a clue at the moment.
Less of a discussion forum than an information database.
The Wikipedia analogy is apt in that respect.
Though as I alluded to earlier in the thread, it's still very much a work in progress.
