Within 45 seconds I was numb beyond description. The early exit polls were obviously garbage. You had numbers like up 18 points in New Hampshire, up 10 in Pennsylvania and down only 3 in North Carolina. I've studied state by state trends long enough to know those were glorified crap, skewed to Kerry by ridiculous margin. About 15 hours earlier I'd posted a thread on DU warning about the early numbers from 2002, how terrible they were. This one doesn't drink the kool-aid. We need to either co-opt him or fwd his resume to the DLC.

My husband has a Dell PC and I have had 3 Dell laptops. They all have been great computers. I've never had to use their tech support so I don't know how they act when you need help.

However, some folks have badmouthed Dell. Any reasons?
I have a Dell. I love it! This is my second one. Very user friendly. I have never had to have either one fixed. Great computers IMHO.

Kerry was a 2/3 favorite at the time due to the reports of early exit polls. Within a half hour of our bet, that went even higher, to 1/2. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but doesn't that mean that Kerry's odds worsened in that half hourYou're right. Good catch. The guy started to lose money and didn't even realize it.

I sure would like to see that Estrich meltdown too. I have a class each election day and so I missed that wonderful moment.

Where were you on November 2, 2004?
Having a large, hot mug of:

....knowing that many of them wouldn't vote until Wednesday (see tag).
Watched Fox, and FReeped. Fox was not available to us in 2000 (you haven't suffered until you've gone through controversy with Chris Matthews). And I hadn't yet discovered FReeping! I mean, Powerline was great and all, but -- no moose, no cheese, no sister....

Image shamelessly stolen from Fintan.

Someone posted an entire site dedicated to morose Kerry losers at the moment of defeat. Anyone know if its still posted somewhere? It was priceless.

I would like to see that again also. I love the pain and misery of the loonie left.

I don't know, I think this guy almost sounds too sane to be a DUmmie.Agreed. In fact I was suprised that PJComix didn't post the comment, "Lousy Freeper Troll" after this guys comments.

I'm with you - I've long believed that the number of true believers on DU is richly supplimented by a whole mess of FR/conservative trolls. So the truth of it all probably lies somewhere in the middle - yes, a big chunk of them are posers trying to make liberals look ridiculously radical, and the rest really are that radical.

Thanks for posting that list - my lib brother is convinced that Bush lied about the Iraqi WMDs to gain control of Saddam's oil. I asked him about all the prominent Dems who made statements to the effect that the weapons were there and he said something like, Bush lied to them too. And he hasn't even seen F911. Go figure.

Thanks for posting that list -Glad to help. I just got an email from Colorado State University's student newspaper web site, where I had also sent that list in reponse to an anti-Iraq war article written by one of their students. The moderator of their web site informed me that my list had been put up for all to see. Maybe we are making a small bit of progress in the battle.
