It is surprising, perhaps, that most Americans do not know the ultimate source of wealth. They think it is hard work. Yet, even in third world countries the people are hard working and own quite a bit. The difference is not property ownership, but recorded property. When the 80% of the world that is not the West finally gets around to recording all their private property, rather than 1/3 or less, then they will have collateral, then they will be able to get credit and formal businesses. If property can be put to work itself as capital, then and only then do the poor become middle class. The 80% are poor only in capital, yet they have immense wealth. The underground economy, the black market, in many countries is far larger than the official economy. It must be so, just look around.

No seriously.... correct me if I am wrong. But this is a rant against the liberal left correct? Because this is really confusing. One should never post stream of thought writing to a forum... write it down by all means then fine tune it to mean what you want it to.... Personally I would start keeping a journal. I too despair over the lefts deadlock on collegiate institutions.... you must fight for what you believe in.... if you give up and give in then you are no better than those who want to tear this country to shreds.

Your points are well taken and probably correct. I would argue that Europe is a more likely candidate for failure from dacadence. That failure might straighten us out.

If you pay close attention here and elsewhere you'll see, the problems you enumerate have been recoginized and are being solved. Liberalism, the evil root cause is in decline.
