Yes, your ears were properly functioning during Friday evening's David Letterman show.
Did Al Franken really kid about executing the President of the United States? Sure enough, it was loose cannon time for the alleged truth-teller.
Not exactly a solid start to Franken's The Truth (With Jokes) book tour. How nice to plug the release on the Late Show With David Letterman, isn't it?
Is it that hard to keep from bombing in such a friendly setting, however?

People like Franken have gone "round the bend". A couple of months back Ted Rall told Michael Medved that Dick Cheney should be executed.
I hate Al Franken, Bill Maher, and Michael Moore. The list doesn't end there, but I really despise those creeps.
Ted Rall went round the bend years ago.
one name for franken. ROGER AILES . it's only a matter of time.
How do these demented people get away with this?
Ditto buddy.... Ditto.
They're democrats. No Controlling Legal Authority.
Don't watch Letterman because I don't find him funny. Don't watch Franken because I don't consider him funny and he's an obnoxious liberal.
People like Franken and Rall are so childish. Are we supposed to take them seriously? "I think he should be executed, and I'm going to hold my breath until I turn blue."
He did not say he wants them to, or thinks they should, be executed. He made a joke - the punchline being the juxtapostion of the severity of execution to the banal subject. At least watch the clip before commenting on it.

Franken should be held as an enemy combatant!

I say we send little Allie Franken to Iraq and let some of those lovable little pals of his that his pals call 'insurgents', hack him to death. Another traitorous SOB. He's the one who should be facing execution.
I rethought what I posted earlier: this little fruitcake Franken better pray to whoever he prays to that I never cross paths with this little fungus on a NYC street. I'd throw this little POS under a bus.
On a positive note: About a week and a half ago on his show, Letterman made Howard Dean look like a fool. He had Dean off-balance and defensive from moment one. It was fun to watch.
