I was told that the first posting claiming the documents were fakes had gone up on Free Republic before our broadcast was even off the air! How had the Web site even gotten copies of the documents? We hadn’t put them online until later. That first entry, posted by a longtime Republican political activist lawyer who used the name “Buckhead,” set the tone for what was to come.

Gee Mary, perhaps Buckhead saw your memo on the screen and recognized right away that a superscript "th" was not available on a Selectric typewriter. After that is was easy to bring suspicion on the memo.

Mary, you ignorant slut.

I thought the quote started "Jane, you....".... oh, you're talking about Mary Mapes. Well, in that case, Never mind... < /emmilylatella>

Actually, I believe that Buckhead saw through the proportional font. I'm proud to saw I was there at the time.

Really, you shouldn't insult all the ignorant sluts out there. At least they are not maliciously trying to destroy the reputation of another human being.

You were also told those memos were legitimate. Given the fact-checking that went into a story that you put on the air on Sixty Minutes II, it doesn't surprise me that you didn't check your facts on this one as well, you imbecile.

Check the post times, you vomitous mass. Buckhead posted AFTER the airing of the report.
