Two things:
1) Congratulations to the school for standing on solid, moral, principle.
2) A BS article in that the liberal writer doesn't understand that the child can not have two parents of the same sex. The writer must understand that the child would not have been born with "parents" such as this.
We must remember to lover the sinner (all of us) but not endorse and/or condone the sin...
We're probably on the same page more than not.
:-)
At least in the same chapter!
I thought you were one of those proponents for converting gays?
That sounds a lot like the Muslim concept of al-wala'a wa al-bara'a.
Just in case anyone wants more info on this topic, here's yet another article, with a link at comment #118 from the school. It seems pretty clear that the school's standards were clear and the mother of the girl was not honest about her living situation when enrolling the girl.
Still would like to know what the 14 yr old (not a little girl) said at the game.
If anyone reads more about this, ping me. It would give us a clearer picture of the real situation.
There are many, many former homosexuals:

Root Causes, Homosexual Consequences
Uh...HELLO....
When Christian adults place the sins of parents upon the heads of children, there damned well is something that can be done about it. This school used the child to punish her "parents". Let's be very clear about that. I don't care if they expel the kid or not, they are a private school...but let's not act all pious about it as if it were a Godly act. It was not. It was punishment aimed at the child, not the parents, because they can't directly GET to the parents. A little "Christian" honesty about this would be appreciated.
There are various ways of association or fellowship. Say, for instance, I am trying to follow God's will in my life. Say, for instance, my neighbor who is a "swinger" or a dope smoker invites our family over for a meal. Should I go? Suppose he hints that it would be cool to swap spouses for an evening. Should I tolerate that and continue to associate with him?
Suppose he brings out the bong and invites us to partake. He might be offended if we refuse. So we sit there amidst the smoke? Or partake so we don't hurt his feelings?
People who want to surrender their will to God's cannot have very close relationships with people who care nothing about God's will and are actually living in rebellion to His will. Doesn't mean people have to be "hated" - one of God's instructions is to love others. But loving them doesn't mean serving THEIR rebellious will, that would be disloyalty to God.
Doesn't mean those who want to serve God's will should be rude or cruel or uppity to others. One can be friendly and wish others well without having to participate in activities or witness acts which are abhorrent. But that generally means having to place a little distance.
Duh - forgot to post the link, here it is:

Daughter of Lesbian Couple Expelled - Women Plan to Protest Outside Ontario Christian School
Click the link at comment 118.
These women should never have put their child in that school to begin with. The school is not required to abandon its standards to accommodate these perverts. The school's rule helps assure that the parents of its students are in sync with the mission, and that the children in the school won't be undermining it with encouragement from their parents.
The mother and her live-in are entirely to blame for this mess. They are the only ones "using" the children, by making them props in their little pseudo-family.
Thanks, it's a shame all around. *sigh*
We just had two kids caught stealing at my son's school (15, not really kids) and expelled. Actually the school had to expel one, the parents of the other yanked him before the school could and, rumor is, he's off to military school. Rumor also is the other family argued the expulsion. Guess which kid is better off in the long run.
This just occurred to me. Apparently the younger sister went to the same school for three years with no fuss. Now, this girl gets expelled after the speaking to the crowd incident.
My supposition:
Perhaps the school knew of the girl's mother and her live in homosexual partner, but decided to allow the girl, and then the other girl, to attend because it was not public. Then, the older girl made it public, and they acted.
That puts the school in even a better light. It would be educational to know all the facts.
Tough Love. Does a world of good.
You're absolutely right. That school has every right to only offer a Christian education to the children of the right kind of parents.
We're not talking about divorce, Sunshine, we're talking about adultery. The Scarlet A. Specifically prohibited by either the 6th or 7th Commandment, depending on one's religion. Jesus stated that those who divorce and remarry are committing adultery. So how can you refer to it as a single mistake when people living an adulterous lifestyle are living it on a daily basis? They are committing the same mistakes, to use your somewhat odious term, every day. They are flaunting their violation of the word of God for all the word to see, and they expect society to accept them. Which, of course, it does. People who divorce and remarry are entitled to the same benefits that people in normal marriages enjoy. In many cases they enjoy more benefits since the government helps to subsidise their adulterous lifestyle with tax breaks for alimony and child support. Yet this supposedly Christian school has no problems that I'm aware of in endorsing this sinful lifestyle, and allowing children from these immoral relationships from attending the same classes as children from normal marriages. And the fact that you see absolutely no problems with this is in keeping with hypocritical attitude of the school in the article. So, how does it feel being on the side of sin yet again?
Now now -don't fret over it... No sense calling yourself names...
Then you are in agreement with all of the Christians who posted on this thread. Simply because one does not endorse sin, whether it be adultery, theft, murder, homosexuality, Or other, does not mean that this person "hates" the sinner. We are all sinners. I can only hope that my friends rebuke me when I sin in front of them. That's called love, not hate.
Who, Christ? Your lengthy response leaves a lot to be desired.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the two lesbians knew of the school policy NOT to allow students with actively homosexual "parents" to attend. So, it looks like the lesbians actually used the school, and the poor daughter that they no doubt claim to "love," for a publicity stunt. It sure got you riled up against the Christian school. The liberal writer did their job well!
Where have you checked?
