Two things:
1) Congratulations to the school for standing on solid, moral, principle.
2) A BS article in that the liberal writer doesn't understand that the child can not have two parents of the same sex. The writer must understand that the child would not have been born with "parents" such as this.
We must remember to lover the sinner (all of us) but not endorse and/or condone the sin...
Wanna know how to tell a liberal from a conservative on this thread or any other one?
It's easy, the liberals feel that the rules can be broken if the need to do so serves even only one child.
The conservatives say change the rules for all if you don't like them.
Actually Paul made it perfectly clear, (see my quote from Scripture above) that you, as a Christian are NOT to have fellowship (eating, etc) with unGodly people who claim to be Christians,
If someone disagrees with you they are liberal? Do we all have to be in lockstep here or can there be a difference of opinion? Is there room for disagreement, but respect? Or is that a liberal concept?
We are all humans created in God's image. Right or wrong, sinner or saint, He loves us all. I try desperately to show respect for all, because of that tenet. Of course some views are "more right than others", to paraphrase Orwell, but aren't all welcome to the table? Some may be influenced by well written, Christian positions.
Can you say it without the profanity, please?
Probably. But not likely.
Okay, fair enough.
For the record, I do not think that the word 'jackass' is profanity. And aside from that, I find what this school did inexcusable. My daughters go to Catholic school. There are tons and tons of two parent, heterosexual homes being represented there. There are also far too many irresponsible, arrogant parents from these homes who are in turn raising nasty little people. I am not a gay rights advocate but I can tell you one thing, if these women are teaching that girl decency and respect, they would be welcomed by me. I'll have to explain the gay thing sooner or later, I'd rather do it with decent people as an example.
My kids are at a non-sectarian private school and I agree with your assessment of some kids! These kids can run wild and who cares? I'd rather a responsible elephant-peekinese family than some we've got. That said, I support a private school's ability to expel anyone they chose. Just think the school might have been able to influence the girl positively had they chosen to.
Sadly, you don't know why the school did this. You only know what the reporter let you know. Hmmmm.... now why did that make the school look bad?....
I completely agree with their rights to expel whom they chose (even though I think they were, well, you know, hahahaha, for their reasoning here), that was part of the reason I chose to send my children to a private/parochial school. Unfortunately, I have found that they aren't as good at expelling as they should be. It is evidentally a monetary issue which just kills me since I am paying absurd sums for them to be doing the disciplinary actions in the first place.
Ugh, we have one now--wish we could get rid of him, but doubt it will happen unless he does something really egregious. One can always hope, I guess. . . Okay, that's bad, I know! ;)
(sarcasm)And conservatives believe the rules can be broken if said rules violate the US Constitution.
I'm sorry, am I supposed to comment on the article you posted or make one up of my own?
Nah, that doesn't sound bad, we have one of our own, maybe more but one that I am really familiar with. He is class with one of my daughters. I pretty much wish the same thing.
Oh, and your apology is accepted. I'm sure that you'll try harder next time.
I expect "parents" to be a husband and a wife. Use different words otherwise.
But He did speak out specifically against divorce, and nobody seems to have a problem ignoring that. I guess some sin is OK while other is not.
No, it's just like I said, you can tell a liberal by their willingness to break all the rules for the sake of one person rather then change the rules for the sake of all concerned.
If you believe that every other family in this case, every other child in this case, that has obeyed the rules doesn't count and that this one "family" and this one child that disobeyed the rules does then you are a liberal.
This "family" has no respect for others since they decided that the rules the others are living by don't apply to them.
That is liberalism in a nutshell, rules are made to controll the other guy.
