If someone disagrees with you they are liberal? Do we all have to be in lockstep here or can there be a difference of opinion? Is there room for disagreement, but respect? Or is that a liberal concept?
We are all humans created in God's image. Right or wrong, sinner or saint, He loves us all. I try desperately to show respect for all, because of that tenet. Of course some views are "more right than others", to paraphrase Orwell, but aren't all welcome to the table? Some may be influenced by well written, Christian positions.
No, it's just like I said, you can tell a liberal by their willingness to break all the rules for the sake of one person rather then change the rules for the sake of all concerned.
If you believe that every other family in this case, every other child in this case, that has obeyed the rules doesn't count and that this one "family" and this one child that disobeyed the rules does then you are a liberal.
This "family" has no respect for others since they decided that the rules the others are living by don't apply to them.
That is liberalism in a nutshell, rules are made to controll the other guy.
