ACLU Wants To Let The Genie Out Of The Bottle
STOP THE ACLU BLOG ^ | Sep 17, 2005 | Jay777

In its typical scare tactic way, the ACLU is fighting the Patriot Act over a librarian's name to be released over activities the FBI has found worthy of investigating. The ACLU is trying to take the FBI's efforts to protect Americans from terrorists and turn it into a terror itself. They want you to feel like the FBI knows when you check out a book from the local library.

If a Connecticut librarian's name is let out of the bag, terrorists might use that and other information to piece together how the FBI is trying to thwart their activity. That's the "mosaic theory" behind the U.S. Department of Justice's effort to keep the librarian muzzled, as outlined in a motion filed Friday with the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.

The federal agency filed an emergency motion for an expedited appeal seeking a stay in a lower court's ruling that lifted the government gag order.

"[O]nce information that should remain confidential has been publicly disclosed, the genie is out of the bottle and we have not the means to put the genie back," department lawyers wrote in the appeal.Conneticut Post

So while the FBI tries to prevent more Americans from dying, the ACLU has taken a mission to obstruct these efforts. Its been said by me before, and I will say it again...the ACLU has no concern for the safety of Americans. They fight every effort to protect us the government tries from metal detectors to random searches on the subways.

The argument between national security and the fear of losing our liberties in the process is really becoming an issue of our times. The ACLU is at the lead in this fight, working with organizations with known terrorist ties like CAIR, representing enemy combatants...

Sorry, but if the alternative is trusting the government to act nobly, I'll take the ACLU.

If the alternative is trusting government or the ACLU, I'll take government every day of the week. At least in the U.S., the people have some power and some limited ability to reign in their government. That is until the ACLU and their associated terrorist lawyers and judges finish dismantling the constitution and tearing this nation apart.

Our Founding fathers were very wise when they intoned that only a moral nation, with the God of the Holy Bible at its center [paraphrased here] can survive with our Constitution.

The fact is, whether anyone agrees with the Bible or not, America's Founding Fathers recognized that if we all accept the same RULE book, and accepted code of conduct, then we are a cohesive nation. When we have a plurality of competing ideals we are headed for the equivalent of the 1917 Bolshevik revolution. And as hard core communists, there's nothing the ACLU would like more than an American revolution.

Satan has no better ally than the ACLU, its lawyers, and its judges. Evil has a name and it is the ACLU.

You are one of many who actually get it! It amazes me, the number of people here who have no idea of what the ACLUs agenda and history is.

More troubling to me is the number of people on a conservative forum who defend or prefer a Communist/Socialist organization over a Republican one.

EdReform and Jay777 have posted vast amounts of information and made it available with the simple click of the mouse.
