Fox News Moves Up to the Next Level of Dominance in TV Coverage
Cable Newser ^ | Aaron Barnhardt

Posted on 09/06/2005 2:17:42 PM PDT by gopwinsin04

What better sign that Fox News Channel has arrived than the fact that Shepard Smith was the guest on 'Late Night with David Letterman' last nght, writes Aaron Barnhardt.

'As I said on the radio yesterday, the media world is coming to grips with the fact that Fox News has moved up to the next level of dominance in televised news.'

'It's coverage of the disaster was consistently gripping, even more so as the week went on...CNN and MSNBC were good, but I kept gravitating towards Fox because ironically, I thought I could get less spin and more reportage there.'

He concludes, 'In the coming years I fully expect Rodger Ailes to beef up Fox's global reporting, add some kind of a headline service, acquire better radio assets and make good on his slogan 'The Most Powerful Name In News.'

Tiresome, but becoming truer every day.

Fox is still far superior than the MSM. In spite of having Geraldo and Greta Van Der Sloot.

You're deadwrong.

Looks like Fox is still the top dog in cablenews. Here's a recent report from CNN Money. 2.9 million for Fox. 1.5 million for CNN. And 525K for msnbc.

Smith got there cuz he's a preening Ass that lost control of his bladder at the sight of an actual dead body

So it was a natural for the libs to invite the weakest link of the Fox lineup.

Except on MSNBC, the anti-Bush bias is so palpable, the station reeks with it!

And, of course, CNN's blatantly liberal position is so well known there is nothing that could ever set that station right.

So, for this guy that leaves FOX. Even as strident as O'Reilly is, I just bleep him out. **S**

Happy week, all.
