What better sign that Fox News Channel has arrived than the fact that Shepard Smith was the guest on 'Late Night with David Letterman' last nght, writes Aaron Barnhardt.
'As I said on the radio yesterday, the media world is coming to grips with the fact that Fox News has moved up to the next level of dominance in televised news.'
'It's coverage of the disaster was consistently gripping, even more so as the week went on...CNN and MSNBC were good, but I kept gravitating towards Fox because ironically, I thought I could get less spin and more reportage there.'
He concludes, 'In the coming years I fully expect Rodger Ailes to beef up Fox's global reporting, add some kind of a headline service, acquire better radio assets and make good on his slogan 'The Most Powerful Name In News.'
Tiresome, but becoming truer every day.

I have been watching Fox non stop since Monday. And am amazed that Conservatives/Freepers think that they are not part of the MSM complex!
Last Monday!
the foxnews babes dominate. although msnbc has a couple that aint half bad.
I don't care, Fox has Molly Henneberg!! Smokin' hot.
Shep Smith is a metrosexual version of Jerry Rivers. When that cretin Letterman has someone like Brit Hume as a guest we can talk again.
Fox News has been consistently good in its coverage of news. It's good to see the news reported without an automatic anti-American bias. Let's face it, everything bad that happens can't be George Bush's fault!
" although msnbc has a couple that aint half bad."
That Andrea Mitchell is a real beauty queen!
You again.
Which show is she on?
Except that Fox was useless every weeknight as they re-ran Hannity and O'Reilly over & over causing me to have to switch to CNN...
I didn't write anything about msnbc.
Oh and I also got disgusted with seeing Geraldo posing and sweating and trying to look like an action movie star...
Which galls the MSM to no end.
Care to explain the Shep hate I'm seeing around here? The guy seems like a decent enough anchor.
Fox has been doing a real good job reporting the aftermath of Katrina. I'd say 80% of the time, its been Fox for me. CNN and msnbc have had their moments, but I think the powers that be at the 2nd and 3rd rated cablenews channels, made a decision to emphasize the negative storyline, the blamegame and the endless fingerpointing. Fact is, Fox has got more quality professionals and better personalities on air then the other two combined.
"Shepard Smith was the guest on 'Late Night with David Letterman' last nght"
Letterman couldn't get any liberals on, since it was a long weekend.
BINGO. Fox is more like an 18 hour news channel with 6 hours of repeat old news. It sucks, but it's true. One simply cannot watch FOX all day without seeing the news segments repeat tirelessly.
And PMSNBC has Rita Cosby...hehe
I can see why that moonbat drama queen Cosby ended up at MSNBC...
By the way...what happened to the fake cowboy Imus?
