Seems Rush grew some nuts now that Anthony Shaeffer stepped up and Debra Orin spoke up in the Post.
The fan is getting hit. Get out the splatter screen
Good!
The very fact that Gorelick, BenVeniste, et al are lying low, and NOT on every possible TV talking head show, means that there is a lot here...They don't know what to say, because they don't know what hard info is out there, so they are hiding..
And I believe there is more to come.... Especially if we find out what "staffers" (they'll take the fall for the 9/11 commision) supressed what material. Even though the larger issue is slick willy et al while still in office, the commission will take the heat on this. We knew slick did nothing while in office, but ignoring terror threats has to take the cake and be some kind of crime against the US I would think.
I don't want to burst peoples balloons here, but nothing is going to happen about this issue unless the Bush administration presses it.
Anyone want to make any bets about whether they're going to do that?
I've listened to both Rush and Tony Snow today, and they both have alluded to future stories that will be breaking.
Staffers won't take a perjury rap..they will tell all..Gorelick will have to testify under oath to Congress..
Foremost, it's being brought up now because our courageous Congressman Curt Weldon has put his reputation on the line by coming forward with what he knows about the 9/11 panel spiking facts (further buttressed by Lt. Col. Shaffer likewise putting his career at risk in doing the same).
You also have to consider that only now is the timing such that the corrupt news media is vulnerable on this scandal. Prior to the November elections, the MSM would have sung in unison that these sorts of accusations were partisan campaign stunts.
They can't say that now...no elections. Moreover, the MSM lauded the 9/11 Commission with sycophantic praise that falls on its face as these facts come out in a non-election year.
Had Congressman Weldon and Lt. Col Shaffer come forward in early 2004, then the news media would not have been vulnerable (election spin, no 9/11 panel praise at that time, etc.).
By coming out now, the news media has to go on the defensive (i.e. it can't "get ahead of the story" by starting a spin campaign against these facts).
For instance, the corrupt news media hasn't been inviting Attorney Mary Jo White (who warned against Gorelick's wall) on their Sunday talk shows...so they are behind the curve.
Keep in mind that Sandy Berger will again be making news, too...as his delayed sentencing for his classified document theft is fast approaching.
Likewise, the grand jury investigation into Valerie Plame, Joe Wilson, and Judith Miller's shenanigans ends in October (which ties in to the above story).
Thus, we're going to see hit after hit on the MSM (i.e. they have to remain on the defensive). And the longer that the MSM is on the defensive, the more courageous our other Congressmen will begin to become. That's important as we have to have follow through in order to clean house of traitors and incompetents in our politically divided world of today, where margins determining election victory are so very, very narrow (sad... but true because if we aren't in power, the guilty will escape justice).
Rush is on fire today.
"You have a Constitutional right to speak. You do NOT have a Constitutional right to be heard."
He said "These people (protesting) have the right to speak. Well, so the hell do I." A rant for the ages, eagerly awaiting the podcast/transcript.
Sorry to go slightly off topic, even though it's a RUSH thread.
A Marine mother named Debby just called Rush. She said that Cindy Sheehan is not only disrespecting her own son, but all the troops, including Debby's son who joined up when he was 18 and saw the 9/11 attack on TV.
Her son told her, "I have to get there."
Debby broke down into tears when she said that Cindy was risking the life of hers (Debby's son). Rush let her talk. He said, "You have just heard the voice of America," and thanked her for calling. Very, very impressive. Debby deserves our appreciation.

I heard her too. I was crying with her. She spoke VOLUMES in those few short seconds! Lots and lots of prayers and love are being sent her (and our troops) way I'm sure because of what she said. Thank you so much Rush and Debbie.
The stalwart mom on Rush's show is a credit to herself, her son (who volunteered and who understands the mission), and to her country.
Thanks, Rush, for letting her speak virtually interrupted. I wish the whole country could have heard her.

We need to find a transcript from this womans call.
I, too, was fighting back tears when Debby spoke. I hope Rush replays it OFTEN. It was a very powerful statement, and it made Cindy look like the anti-American she is. God only knows how many of our young heros could die because of Cindy.
"and it made Cindy look like the anti-American she is"
You know, you're right about that. Cindy Sheehan (with her upside-down American flag) can go take a long walk on a short pier for all I care. I feel more anger towards these anti-Americans when they ADD to the anguish of people like Debbie.
"We need to find a transcript from this womans call."
A transcript would be a good start, but people need to hear Debbie. It wasn't just what she said, it was how she said it. So much emotion in her voice, trying her best to talk through her tears. Compare and contrast with Cindy Sheehan, whose contrived emotion and contempt for America is obvious. I wish someone could get an audio clip of Debbie's call.
