1968: US Senator Edward Kennedy’s car drove off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts killing his 28-year-old companion Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy fled the scene of the accident and received a suspended sentence of two months and one year's probation.

That Ted Kennedy was allowed to escape justice.... He may have escaped man's justice, but GOD will dispense real justice to correct that situation one day soon.

I'm sure you're right about God dispensing real justice...but speaking for myself, I'd love to have seen some real justice dispensed here on earth.
Namely, a jail sentence and the loss of his Senate seat.

Every time Teddy says anything in public about the actions of anyone else, he should be reminded of this incident.
He lied repeatedly, and Mary Jo died a slow torturous death while the Senator discussed with his lawyers how he could get away with her murder.

And Kennedy is no less arrogant and "holier than thou" now as he was back then. In fact, he may be more.

I know someone, now deceased, who received 3 years in prison for leaving the scene of an accident that was not even his fault!
And as a commentator said years ago,
"Do you want a person in the presidential driver's seat who cannot hit a 10 foot wide bridge with an 8 foot wide car?
