This graphic is starting to show up on stories from Reuters.com.
Yeah. Right.
To finish the sentence "No Honor, No Honesty, No Credibility and no regular readers with an IQ over 100.
Hilarious!!!
"I've often found that when you have to have a phrase for it, it really isn't so."
They'll be running polls to see just how well this new campaign shores up their numbers, their market perception.
But, it may very well be that it will never dawn on them that the genuine truth doesn't need pointing out, what with them having the problem that they have and all (just a thought).
Roto-Reuters, that's the name
As they spin their stories
Down the drain.
I find Reuters to be quite good, but thier new saying of no spin, wouldnt that be copywrited from Fox?
My sides hurt from laughing so hard. And I really believe them.......until they print something.
Yeah right. I remember in May 2002 when they showed a picture of Ground Zero with the caption like this:
"Cleanup continues at Ground Zero. Human rights around the world have suffered as a result of the US War on Terror."
No spin, no agenda?
Maybe if your name is AL-Reuters

From this web page:

Reuters holdings apart from the core news and financial data services include -
corporate info services

healthcare sector
Paris-based Agence Presse Medicale (APM) is concerned with the French B2B professional healthcare market. Its clients range from hospitals and insurers to pharmaceutical companies. APM provides real-time newswire services for nine healthcare niche markets.

other market analysis
It has a minority stake in Datamonitor, claimed as Europes largest market analysis company, offering information on a subscription basis about the energy, healthcare, financial services, consumer goods, medical equipment, automotive and high technology sectors.
IT research and consulting
Reuters has a majority stake in high-profile US-based consultancy Yankee Group. Yankee is concerned with information technology research and strategic consulting, including electronic commerce, wireless communications, computing and enterprise applications.
It also has a majority stake in US-based TowerGroup, a research and strategies consultancy concerned with information technology for the global financial services sector, including retail and wholesale banking, securities and investments, insurance, electronic payments, the mortgage industry and the net."
That pretty much sums it up, it's a basic problem with their understanding of the English language.
I found it

We're not spinning.... The world is spinning around us.
Uh Huh!
Just the news as long as GW, Rummy, Cheney, Rove, Rice and the rest of the cabinet are criminals and evil in the pseudo reports.
So many taglines. So little space.
Touche'!
Yes. The media today is not openly partisan. It asserts it is impartial, and uses that assertion to manipulate the public.
Many media organs promote themselves as impartial watchdogs. An entire body of statutory and common law has been erected around that farce.
The charade of "honest uniformity" is useful. The media declares in unison, "Rove disclosed the ID of a covert agent!" The meme of honest reporting gives credence to the unanimity of presentation, i.e., the fact that the reporting is uniform makes it MORE likely the story is true.
You can trademark a slogan but you can't copyright a phrase.
Reuters referred to a man in Iraq caught read handed planting a bomb under a car as a "suspected insurrgent".
At some point, such doublespeak is a lie and does not accurately describe the situation.
Then again, I say the same thing when (as with the Dimebag Darrell shooting) they say the "alleged shooter was killed". Well I sure HOPE they got the right guy. In those cases, the "suspect" is dead and there will NEVER be a trial. If the press is unwilling to state a fact such as that...
That says it all!
LOL, ping!
Maybe, but this is 2005. Anyone with something resembling a brain knows better (with the Internet, Fox News, AM talk radio, etc.). No, if anyone today actually believes that the MSM are "impartial" or "unbiased", then they're a complete, blithering idiot and unworthy of educating further.
I must sadly admit to knowing more than my share of just such idiots.
