I am concerned about our Country. What happened to the American Dream? What happened to freedom for all? This Country was founded on freedom for all. The Constitution states WE THE PEOPLE(ALL PEOPLE),& THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS,FREEDOM & THE AMERICAN DREAM. We all need to come together & fight for theses things. Years ago people came together to protest for things that were wrong or things they believed in,that is what we need to do now to preserve this country for our children & our children's children. We also cannot forget God-whatever God you believe in. That is also another freedom to believe in whatever you believe in. The message years ago was : PEACE,LOVE,FREEDOM,& HAPPINESS. Example:the last 2 elections,no one said anything & we need to. We need to take action NOW FOR ALL PEOPLE!!!!!
As you know, I NEVER have. Welcolme to the club.
welcome
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!
I sense something in your message that I used to believe and perhaps, in my bummed out moments over certain things, believe still--that happiness is unattainable (and this can go for the other conditions above). But happiness is not some place you get to and live in, it comes and goes, and hopefully we don't have pain in between. But you have to make yourself happy, the government isn't going to have ANY part in that. People talk about "The Clinton Years" or "The Reagan Years" or whenever as a time when we were ALL one thing or another. That's BS, bigtime. In the worst periods in our nation's history, my grandparents had a child--I think they were happy, even though that was during the Depression. During Vietnam, my parents had my brother--they were happy, though we were "collapsing" or whatever. The worst periods of my life were during the "Clinton Years" when supposedly we were all whooping it up.
My point is that thinking there is some general condition of happiness to be had is a crack pipe dream. Love and happiness are in YOUR court, dude, no one else's.
Freedom, well, we have it, all the naysayers and lunatic court decisions notwithstanding. We have flaws and problems, and they have to be confronted. And changes must be made--so get to work on those changes, don't bitch about there no longer being any freedom. That you can express that here without a second though proves we have quite a bit.
And peace is another word for stagnation. ;) The history of humanity is violent, but also exploding with new positive energy, too. Peace--you mean during the time of The Greatest Generation, or the time when people were talking about "peace" all the time, aka The Vietnam Era?
Be realistic about what you've got, what you can get if you get off your emotional butt, so to speak, and the nature of the world, as opposed to silly folk music dreams.
One of the most important lessons in life I learned was never to drink the bong water.
Your first post here on FreeRepublic.com. Congratulations.
Definite zot bait.
Wow. Like wow. Your brillant intellect is so great, is it any wonder why people think you are a troll?
Say hello to the viking kitties!
Yes.
We must all call the ASPCA as soon as possible.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Are you sure it's an old hippie troll? My ten dollars says it's a 14 year old girl with a bad case of drama queen.
"The message years ago was : PEACE,LOVE,FREEDOM,& HAPPINESS."
HIPPIES!!
AUGH!!!
The 60's & 70's are over. The elections are over.....Bush won both times...I know it's hard for you liberal whiner types.....get over it.
Wonder if after getting it to bark again they sent it here to post?
There are things that you should be concerned about. There are people on this planet that do not like us. Not because of the color of you skin, or the language that you speak. It is because you are an American. You have freedom to choose, speak and do anything you want, in accordance to laws that are made from the will of officials that are elected by the people. And for that, you are hated. We want peace, but not at the price where are Liberties are restricted. We want love, but not at the cost to have those that hate the American dream in the majority.
Since the 60's there has been a threat to America from within. Organizations that chip way everything that America stands for. They hide themselves as legal groups and use our own legal system to ruin America from within. You said no one did anything about last election? I did, I voted. I urged others to register and vote. I had people that had not voted in years to "wake up and vote". Other people attempted to do anything, at any means necessary. Like produce fake documents, go on national TV and say they were real. Steal hindered of FBI files to gain information on opponents. Give hundreds of thousands of dollars to terrorists to buy ammo to kill our troops. Accept millions in "donations" to continue hate and intolerance to those with different opinions. Produce movies with headlines and interviews taken out of context to promote their slanted views of what they think America should be, a fascist euro-socialist state.
What did I do? Read it again. I did not blow a whistle, stage a die in, chant slogans, hate or deceive. I Voted. Once.
Peace, love, freedom, and happiness is the cry of the 60's counter culture.
Try patriotism and hard work instead.
I wonder if the trolls have a little online manual, perhaps in pdf format, that they share via email, regarding FR guidelines. An actual seminar handout for the seminar trolls, as it were.
