Right...I thought that they needed $25,000 up-front to GUARANTEE the surgery. They have passed that. They needed the additional $25,000 to finish paying for the surgery. But that makes $50,000. But if they only have $32,000...and they're saying that they're $4,800 short...oh, this DUmmie math is making my head spin.

I don't think hospitals deny surgery to people who will die without it - just like they can't deny treating illegal aliens. But, of course, maybe Hopkins is different. (yeah, right!)
