There are some things Dems & others can do, know what to focus on, don't splinter over HOW to get things done, focus on your goals. Start thinking on a larger scale. Paved roads, food security, clean water, clean air, good paying jobs; the real challenge is getting people together who feel better off fighting only for their own interests. We need a leader who can connect diverse groups of people & make them both feel & be stronger. We also need milestones along the way, so people don't feel they've accomplished nothing & get burned out. Working on a dual scale, aiming for the long term goals while gaining other victories along the way.

A brilliant strategy, but Reagan was the last to do it. Certainly not one the Dems have tried since Kennedy. The scary thing is, Hillary may be the one who tries it next, although she will be a complete phoney doing it since Hillary does not believe in the American dream, but in a government solution of massive wealth distribution.

Excuse the tangent, but I found this so fascinating and it does sort of fit with DUFU...

I was listening to Air America several days back, it was the guy in the evening with Garafalo, and he says "progressives should use this law that allows any cable viewer to request that a channel not be permitted into that residence. This causes the cable company to be required to install some type of device on your cable box and that costs them money. If enough progressives did this and had Fox news blocked from their residence, the cable companies would be forced to drop Fox because of the cost of installing these blocking devices..."
