The Humane Thing to Do Is Let Africa Starve An Editorial by Frank J. Posted by Frank J. at 11:36 AM | TrackBack (7)
Africa has been a troubled region for some time. Unstable politics, genocide, aids outbreaks, mass starvation - we do what we can to help, we send money to Sally Struthers, but do we really think Africa is going to get better and be a fully functional continent again? Sure, we can keep things patched together, but each day Africa exists is just another day of suffering. It's time we face up to reality and give Africa the peace it needs in a natural end.
It's time we starve everyone in Africa to death.
"Yes, before someone brings it up, America does have a 10 trillion dollar life insurance policy on Africa." The U.N. will certainly be on board with this as dealing with Africa has been too much for them as well. We'll have to watch all entry points where people may misguidedly try to bring food to the Africans; as leaders of the world, this is our choice to make and others shouldn't subvert it. Plus, this is what Africa wants as I think I remember some ancient tribal leaders saying they wanted their people starved to death if the continent ended up like it is today.
And yes, before someone brings it up, America does have a 10 trillion dollar life insurance policy on Africa that can be cashed if everyone there dies, but this isn't about America - this is about Africa and what's best for it. And you'd have to be a pretty heartless person to not see how death by starvation is what the people of Africa would really want. Yes, I can't know that I cant know for sure since they speak languages I don't understand, but can't you see they're tired of barely making it by on foreign aid and showing their children in television ads? They want a natural end.
It's a hard choice to make, but it is ours. Some may complain about us choosing wrong, but the important thing is we know we're right while we let millions die.

Sounds reasonable. It's a painless way to go, isn't it?
I'm a terrible person. I read the title and the first few lines and busted out laughing. I should not have human contact for a while I think. I'm oversaturated and just plain goofy at this point. I'm reading this and going to bed.
I haven't been this tired since the dark days of the recount.
I know, pure oversaturation
stress relief laughs now :(
Hmmmmm. That was Florida. again.
Good nite all, I am too tired to move and wonder how the Schindlers are still moving. And I am hydrated and well fed.
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
Maybe.
Don't I know it! And I think I still have on what I did yesterday! I know I've got three coffee cups on the computer, a cereal bowl and some parmesean cheese which I certainly hope I didn't put in the coffee or the cereal. At this point though, I would'nt swear that I didn't.
I love Frank. :) (when he isn't begin blasphemous, anyway)
think of it as another wonderful opportunity to turn on FoxNews and listen to the Greta-Susan Estrich duet.
It would no doubt be a painless and blissful death for Africa, but you just know some right to life kook judge would grant injunctive relief.
[Just don't make them wear a leash.]
After all, they can all ease into the great beyond in a state of euphoria.
And, no panties on the head.
Mort Kondrake (SP?) was on Brit's show yesterday talking about how starving is such a euphoric way to die.
I sent that show an email today telling Mort I felt bad for all the money I've sent to feed starving children around the world, having deprived them of an euphoria.
I also said that Social Security was solved now because we can just starve the surplus baby boomers.
It's strange what people can convince themselves of.
You're lucky your thread didn't get killed... I tried some satire yesterday and a "sensitive" type (female) got offended. As a result, my thread when bye-bye. Despite the fact that, had Terri Schiavo been "married" to her parents in San Francisco, the homosexual lobby would have guaranteed her survival (see http://jerhad.com).
Although I'm sorry one of our fellow Freepers was upset, the Schiavo story represents one of the essential problems of our current society, and we need to thoroughly examine all aspects of the situation.
I fear that we are becoming the "United States of Holland", where euthanasia and abortion are unquestioned civil rights for the inconvenienced.
As a tangent, let me say that there is, in fact, a good argument not to give too much help to Africa. Historically, where ever a small amount of 'wealth' arises in Africa, the next-door tribe gets envious and starts a civil war. It's a recurring pattern going back to Colonial days (and I am not "anti-imperial" as a matter of policy).
Don't let them starve, but do let them worry about getting their next meal. Once that need is met too easily, they always begin acting-up and cause trouble.
