THE VULTURES CIRCLE: Even Dan Rather’s friends at CBS News are bad-mouthing him. The new issue of The New Yorker features a piece in which the anchorman’s colleagues get downright nasty. Samples:

Old buddy Mike Wallace calls Rather “uptight and occasionally contrived.”

Dear friend Andy Rooney says Rather takes his act on the road so often because he’s ashamed of anchoring — “a dumb job.”

Treasured buddy Walter Cronkite says he long ago switched his television to NBC to escape from Rather’s “showboating.”

Personal pal Don Hewitt prefers ABC to Rather’s show these days. He says, “If you’re in a three-network race and you come in third, the public is against you.”

I despise Rather as much as anybody, but taking anything Trump says seriously is beyond silly. He's a bankrupt fraud who has sold some snake oil idea that his financial advice should be valued. He's what? $6 billion in the hole?

Well .. I didn't like Trump's smarmy statements about Bush - so I just don't watch his stuff. Frankly I don't care what he thinks.

And .. for him to espouse Cronkite is just disgusting - it was because of Cronkite's statements about the TET offensive that helped the North Vietnamese regroup and KILL 48,000 MORE OF OUR TROOPS - after we had WON THE TET OFFENSIVE. The ROT of CBS began then - and Rather is just the culmination of the coninuted ROT in this network.

CBS is owned by Viacom - and Viacom supports Hillary - which should tell you EVERYTHING you need to know.

I dislike Dan as much as anyone does, but let's not be criticizing people's children for their appearance, sexual orientations, or whatever.

I detest the Clinton parents, but I think Chelsea should have been left out of the discussion.
