Dan Rather's name is MUD among the NY elites now... :)
Even Dan Rather's friends are bad-mouthing him02/28/2005
THE VULTURES CIRCLE: Even Dan Rathers friends at CBS News are bad-mouthing him. The new issue of The New Yorker features a piece in which the anchormans colleagues get downright nasty. Samples:
Old buddy Mike Wallace calls Rather uptight and occasionally contrived.
Dear friend Andy Rooney says Rather takes his act on the road so often because hes ashamed of anchoring a dumb job.
Treasured buddy Walter Cronkite says he long ago switched his television to NBC to escape from Rathers showboating.
Personal pal Don Hewitt prefers ABC to Rathers show these days. He says, If youre in a three-network race and you come in third, the public is against you.

Well .. I didn't like Trump's smarmy statements about Bush - so I just don't watch his stuff. Frankly I don't care what he thinks.
And .. for him to espouse Cronkite is just disgusting - it was because of Cronkite's statements about the TET offensive that helped the North Vietnamese regroup and KILL 48,000 MORE OF OUR TROOPS - after we had WON THE TET OFFENSIVE. The ROT of CBS began then - and Rather is just the culmination of the coninuted ROT in this network.
CBS is owned by Viacom - and Viacom supports Hillary - which should tell you EVERYTHING you need to know.

Donald Trump does a daily broadcast bit for some radio stations where he talks about all kinds of things. I'm sure he does. What's amazing is that anyone listens.

After seeing that picture of Robin Rather, I could give a second thought to the rumor that it was her who played the part of Lucy Ramirez in the Rathergate mystery. She looks like someone who could go un-noticed at a livestock show.

The Donald is still sucking up to Les Moonves while throwing Rather over. He just wants to get good press from CBS in the coming months when Rather is gone but Les is still clinging as best he can.
Let's face it, Les is Moore and they both need a reality check big time.
