Not only did NBC's Katie Couric "go off on high-level reps of a New York newspaper during the wedding reception, but she also got caught secretly taping the Trump shindig with a lipstick camera," the Palm Beach Post gossips. "This, after guests had been forewarned to leave any kind of recording device at home."
NBC spokeswoman Lauren Kapp said Couric was given permission to shoot, but Apprentice publicist Jim Dowd says it was a "misunderstanding:" "Donald told Katie it was OK, but Melania didn't know. We didn't realize Donald didn't tell his bride. Katie's segment was supposed to air on Monday, but now it's never going to air."

funny. i didn't see the word "perky" anywhere. did I miss it or are they trying to give her some gravitas by avoiding it?
With age, "cute-as-a-button" ends up becoming "fat-as-a-pig."
I guess it's only a "misunderstanding" since the Perky One was involved...
her negotiations with cbs to replace dannyboy must be entering a critical phase if they have to refrain from calling her "perky".
hmmm...I'm curious. If they were given permission, then why the spy cam? Just wondering. Oh wait, Perky would NEVER do anything under-handed. Sorry.
They should just replace it with 'tacky'.
Secret agent wannabe. She wishes she could "Get Smart". I think she wants to be called "Agent 69".
LOL...Good one.
"skanky" comes to mind - especially if she would do that to someone.
From "perky" to "jerky."
If 'Donald told Katie it was ok' then why did she 'sneak' a camera into the wedding??
More bull from the 'perky' one and the network that hired here.
THIS is journalism? THIS is a journalist?
Rules? Rules are for other people! Not big, powerful, important people like Qatie. Gee, Barbara Walters was there. I wonder if she's ticked she didn't get special 'lipstick camera' priveleges? ...Or did she?
Ageless Liberal credo: "The secret to success is sincerity. Once we can fake that, we've got it made."

Personally, I'd love to see her get the CBS gig. 1) She'd no longer be on "The Today Show." 2) Once in the CBS anchor seat, their news program would tank even further. Here tenure there would be as short-lived as Connie Chung's on whichever network foisted that experiment on the viewing public. I'm convinced only a very small number of people, mostly people in Cambridge and Berkeley, would want to watch "The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric."
