Pitt isn't a school teacher anymore. He quit teaching some time ago to go on the speaker's circuit after he had written 2 books.

He still does the circuit but also writes for Truthout.

His Mommy also posts at DU under the screen name of Raven.

The main reason Pitt posts at DU is to gather talking points for his books and the articles he writes for Truthout. The DUmmies gladly supply him with his needs!

It's one thing to have hope, but these folks are starting to sound like a high school kid who decides to go to Hollywood and get a job as a waiter at some posh restaurant on the chance that someday Elisa Dushku will go there and, like, he can make her laugh while serving her and she'll, like, see how funny and clever he is, right? and she'll become his girlfriend. Dude.

They're not concerned citizens, they're political groupies, more into the feeeeeelings than the issues.

Just spoke with John Conyers office in DC!



They transferred me to the Judiciary Committee spokesperson. I asked if the office had heard anything more definitive on Senatorial support in the EC contest. She replied, "No, Ma'am." I then asked if an official statement had purposely not been released in order to avoid tipping the hand of the participants, thereby sparking a firestorm of criticism and complaint. She was obviously smiling when she said, "Yes, Ma'am."

How does one spend all day making 2 phone calls?

I decided to sign up over there and actually spend some time trying to figure these people out.

I somehow got myself into an argument with a group of people who actually believe that Kerry won by 6 million votes based on some analysis of the exit polling.

And they're not letting go of that. They believe it with every fiber of their being...

How do you talk to people like that?
