DUmmie FUnnies Thanksgiving Edition ("No Thanksgiving This Year")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | November 25, 2004 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 11/25/2004 5:58:11 AM PST by PJ-Comix

In this special Thanksgiving Edition of the DUmmie FUnnies we shall observe how the DUmmies celebrate, or rather NOT celebrate, Thanksgiving this year. As you can see in this DUmmie THREAD titled, “No Thanksgiving This Year,” the DUmmies, with a few exceptions, are refraining from celebrating the holiday this year. As usual, the hungry comments of the DUmmies angrily glaring at the Thanksgiving tables they will not sit at are in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, stuffing himself with turkey and all the trimmings, is in the [brackets]:

No Thanksgiving This Year…

[Speak for yourself, Dummie 5X.]

The celebration of the fall harvest and in some areas an almost religous giving of thanks does not quite seem appropriate this year. The harvest this year consists of war dead, civilians and soldiers, fascism and corporatism instead of democracy, and four more years of huge profits for friends of george. I won't be celebrating thanksgiving or any other holidays this year but instead will avoid any shopping except for necessities. I will be actively boycotting republican owned and supporting businesses. I will speak out when ever possible against the war and the theft of our democracy. This will be my gift to family and friends for this holiday season.

[Since you won’t be eating any Thanksgiving dinners this year, DUmmie 5X, wouldn’t that mean you would need to downsize your name to 4X?]

We stopped celebrating any holidays religious or otherwise after the 2000 coup by the bushit crime family. This will continue as long as a single repuke lives!!!

[Welcome to an eternity of holiday boycotts!]

The Christian Reconstructionists applaud your decision. One of their minor issues (beneath the subjugation of women & the return of slavery) is the abolition of the Godless Popish/Pagan holidays. Which means nearly all of them.

[Hmm…. Methinks you are thinking of the Jehovah Witnesses but since those folks don’t vote nor participate in public affairs in any way, your angry thrust is a bit moot.]

I am thankful that my husband was able to find work within a week after being laid-off. I am thankful that I am able to attend college full-time. I am thankful for my family and for my health. I am thankful for my 4 cockatiels and my cat. I am thankful for having such generous friends who help us at the drop of a hat. I am thankful we can pay the bills and aren't drowning in debt anymore. I am thankful that I can finally afford to buy christmas presents for my family. I am thankful for my marriage and my husband. I am thankful for everything I have. Thank Goddess and God for giving these to me.

[Your reverent praise of the Twin Deities is quite touching.]

I don't see the point in celebrating two of the most over indulgent holidays of the year. While our troops are away from their families and malnutrition among Iraqi children has doubled since the war of aggression started, I really don't feel too festive.

[And yet if Kerry won you would now be stuffing your face with turkey and trimmings. See, Bush has done some good for you after all. It is because of him you won’t be suffering from the typical holiday weight gain.]

I can't give up the holidays. My Democratic family and I need some cheering up. However, I still plan to actively participate in demonstrations about the stolen vote. RedefeatBush.com has a counter-inauguration planned.

[Your Counter-Inaugural Ball tickets are in the mail.]

Holidays have never really been important to us. They are just pagan rituals..

[Your Goddess will be VERY ANGRY with you.]

Postponing Thanksgiving Fest 'till there is a recount, the rightfully elected president sits at the oval office, fascism is ebbing and sanity has returned to our democracy, or until GWB and his goons are out of office!

[Psst! Come around to my back door and I’ll have a few slices of turkey available for you in the doggie bag.]

Honestly, I think the freepers would be just thrilled if they thought they had ruined even family holidays for us. Not gonna let that happen. I still have plenty to be thankful for. Pass the eggnog please.

[Hmmm…. Should I allow you to have a Thanksgiving? Okay, I won’t ruin it for you just this one time. Happy Thanksgiving, DUmmie!]

I agree - the same thing as the "100,000 or 200,000" dead civilians so far since the beginning of the war. The numbers keep going up by the tens of thousands, with no substantiation.

Well the first one could have been written by bleeding heart liberal brother. He is so self sufficient that he is still living with my Mom.

My mother is down at my other brother's for Thanksgiving. My younger brother didn't ask about Thanksgiving and I didn't either, so I don't know if he is going to show up just in time for dinner or not. I give him about a 50/50 chance of showing up. There is a 100% chance he will go to see a movie. After the movie I figure that he will have a hankering for turkey and pumpkin pie.

"I almost feel sorry for them..................."

Nah! Don't bother--they don't even want you to be alive, as testified by one of their statements:
"This will continue as long as a single repuke lives!!!...."

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too PJ and everyone on FR. May your coming year be as blessed as this past year -- even moreso, if possible.

Too bad the rabid left can not recognize the blessings they have. Even during the worst of the Klintoon fiasco, we never forgot to give thanks for the blessings which we had.

I posted on another thread how we used to befuddle our liberal friends by praying for our elected leaders and for the office of the president. Yes, we even prayed for the Billary and did not heap curses upon his head as we asked The Lord for his guidance and leadership for those who were in a position of authority for this Republic.

It was totally over their heads -- they never "got it." And now look at the shape the libs are in ... all they have to fall back on are fantasy, delusion, obfuscation and hate.

And yes, we will pray for them also in about 3 hours when the fete starts for our family and friends.

Again, PJ, FReepers and not to forget JimRob and his family. Have a very Blessed Thanksgiving! God Bless!

I spent hours last night deboning the 23.5 lb turkey, 6 lb duck & 4 lb chicken.

The sausage stuffing could be a meal in itself.

Anyway, everything was assembled and sewn up about 4 am. It came out of the oven about 90 minutes ago, and boy does it look good...

We cooked it for around 9 hours, until we got a core temperature of 180 degrees.

Enjoy yours!

Unlike those leftist whackjobs, whether our side is in power or not, we know to whom we give thanks on this day.

What a pathetic lot. It's amazing that these people can let their irrational hatred completely blind them to the enormous range of good things in life for which they should be thankful. I've never seen such a concentration of narcissistic mental cases in my life!

On a happier note, I wish you all a very

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

May we all enjoy God's bountiful blessings!

This thread has taken a life of it's own. The Tech leak story has turned into a conspiracy theory about a (presumably) Rove plant (Madsen) creating bogus scenarios for the purpose of discrediting all scenarios.

They have secret meetings with Homeland Security and Houston Police every week.

I was venting to a close friend last week about all the crap that is happening here in the US, but she causally told me that Houston PD, Depart of Homeland Security and the FBI have been having secret weekly meetings ever since the Department of Homeland Security was created. She told me it was because Houston is considered to be third in the so called list for potential attacks in the US. This was the first time I heard about these secret meetings.

She is a counselor, but I have a strong feeling a client of hers attends counseling and is probably venting about the meeting. As I was venting my frustrations about the Universal ID card and the voter fraud, and my fear of the draft. She just causally mentioned it. So I really never gave it much thought and added my large list of reasons to despise these neo-cons.

Since I just happened to come across this thread now I wonder how long have they been planning to steal the election. I wish I could ask for further insight, but I know she won't tell me because she strongly believes in not violating the Counselor - Client confidentiality rule.
